We attended a private party in the function suite. It's a nice sized room and the young staff on the bar were very friendly and helpful. The catering side of things went a bit awry as pie and peas got served first very nice but the children had to wait at least 20mins for the pizzas to arrive, so not sure if they'd forgotten them ! Despite that I would recommend this as a good space for a function
Lovely place, we stayed over while visiting family and the room was clean, had everything we needed. BIG shame that we paid for breakfast to sadly have it refunded upon arrival as they weren't doing breakfast the following morning. Really clean throughout and a good pint - will be staying again in the not too distant future and will hopefully get back in time to eat there too.
We hired The Bridge for our wedding reception on 4th February!! The staff went absolve and beyond to ensure us and our guests had a great night!! The food was lovely, the room was great and all the staff worked so hard. We really did have a wonderful night. Thank you. Amber & Alan
The bartender fin gave me exceptional service! Only came in for a Prosecco but ended up getting a bottle since I felt so welcomed and catered too! Definitely going to be back!
2 weeks ago had a really good steak on steak night. Was looking forward to a treat again but unfortunately they had sold out by 6pm !! Really hope they can manage this better going forward.
Went to a retirement party upstairs, great room and atmosphere. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Would defo recommend.Service: 5/5
It was a Christmas get together. I know landlady hasn't been in long so she needs to settle in, food was ok, couple things they could tweak, prawn cocktail should have shredded lettuce & Marie rose sauce, both lacking, turkey was good veg cold & hard but sprouts mushy. My friends said Salmon very very good & puddings well received. So thats why I say ok had worse & had better & crackers a bit pitiful
No carpark ,well not that I could I see ! Check in at the bar ,warm greetings most info given shown to the room but its quite a few flights of stairs not great when you have lots of luggage! Room5 is an ok size same as shower room Bed comfortable enough but there's a green light which is quite bright in the fire light! Next a busy road so can hear the traffic No plug for the sink and the toilet it looked like its not been cleaned for awhile as shown in photos , few large cracks on the walls also shown in photos No spare toilet roll but given a large roll from the bar toilets! The issue that I wouldn't stay again is that once the bar closes you have to call the number to either enter or leave which is a bummer as I get up early to go running and didn't really want to wake up the lady even though she said she would but shouldn't really have too maybe a night entrance would be adviceable!! Good WiFi, excellent shower No food being served and not many restaurants around! No breakfast included Would I stay again NO unfortunately not due to the being locked in issue. would i recommend yes if know what is involved
Apart from its restaurant service and good food, I did not like anything about the hotel. Extremly cold room and leaking wash-basin. Tried to get help from the manager but wasn´t very helpful. Not coming again!Rooms: 1/5
Not been in for years, pleasantly surprised, a lot of money has been spent on this place. It looks clean and fresh. I'm definitely going back. Food & drinks: Good prices on the drinks.
