Excellent music venue...but... Toilets not the best. No draught reale Ale.
Call in on a lads reunion and nostalgia trip. The barman was most friendly and helpful. We used to go here 40 years ago. Brought back happy memories.
A place worthy of royalty. Rich aristocrats would feel at home with the level of luxury and hospitality
Rough barely covers it. No door on the men's toilets cubicle, no toilet role or soap. Ladies had minimal toilet roll about 3mm thickness left on the roll soap remnants diluted so much with water it pretty much was just water. One cubicle door didn't lock as well but hey at least they had doors. Absolute shambles of a place.
Had my 40th birthday celebrations at The York, and had the best time! The landlord James and his staff couldn't do enough for us, we had a belting night out Lovely large semi covered outdoor smoking area with plenty of seats and tables. Inside the pub is warm and welcoming and lots of good deals on drinks. Toilets are just fine too, could do with more handsoap though! Easy access to the rest of Bolton town centre and easy access to the train station and taxi rank too. A great little pub, highly recommended
Excellent pub to visit. It's such a friendly atmosphere, made to feel at home by all who work there. It might not be swanky but its relaxed casual atmosphere is a nice change. Can't wait to go again.
I like this pub, but my last time in the place I experienced some fat wannabe tough guy trying his hand. I'm not a bully so I ignored the idiot. Other than this one occasion I genuinely have a good time here.
Excellent night, very friendly, good beer garden /smoking area. Great atmosphere I was at the York for an open mic night, would definitely recommend a visit
Should a friendly atmosphere which lovely staff, me and my other half love the kareoke nights and are impressed with James's selection of great heavy metal and rock. Brilliant pub that more people should deffo visit its a tucked away hidden gem .
