Best teacher I’ve had at GCSE Mr Malcolm genuinely cares whether we get it.nExplains everything clearly, makes English interesting and pushes us to do our best. Southall Community College is lucky to have him. If you get Mr Malcolm for English, you’ve won the teacher lottery.nThank you for never giving up on us,sir
I was a Aerospace student when this place was called SCoT back in 1981 to84. I started the course 3 months late and during that period, as a foreign student, support I got from staff was unbelievable. Mr John Ashford, Mr Hepborn, Mr Bob Pepper, Mr Victor Merryl, Ms Pardon, Mr Collin n John Palmer etc... I am little sad to read some of the negative feedbacks, hope current administration would definitely attend to and make necessary changes to address the issues. I was registered as k k G s a s Wijethilake and everyone called me Fredy Laker as my name sounds like Laker
Residents have repeatedly requested that the college's management fence and gate the perimeter of the site to prevent junkies and drug dealers congregating at night in front of the college's front doors. The junkies are regularly witnessed injecting heroin and smoking crack cocaine. If hypodermic syringes are discarded within the vicinity of the grounds, this is a serious risk to the health and safety of staff and students. Karen Redhead, Principal of the college is dragging her feet over the implementation of simple safety measures to deter the anti social behaviour which is making life for residents on the other side of Beaconsfield Road a living misery. When enrolments are down because parents are rightly concerned for the safety of their children, the college will act but it shouldn't take a financial hit for this to happen. Those who are responsible for educating the community's children, should be driven by prioritising the safeguarding of young people.
Mon 7th - Fri 11th April ‘25: Attending here during the easter half term, doing an Drylining Induction Training. Great trainer, friendly staff and security and a lot of great courses here.
There is drug activity on the grounds of the college, both drug use and dealing and the CEO Karen Redhead doesn't consider this her concern as it this isn't happening within the building. The obvious answer to deterring loitering and illicit activity by people without a legitimate reason to be on the premises, is to fence and gate the perimeter of the site along the boundary with the pavement. Other colleged do this do this to ensure the safety of staff and students. Young people and vulnerable students risk becoming the drug dealers' customers because of the negligent attitude to safeguarding by the college's management and until.meadures are taken to 'design out' criminal activity in front of the car park's barrier,, I wouldn't recommend this college to any prospective students.
