I would rate this college a 0 star if I could. The education system is terrible and teacher's/staff are rude and dismissing. I attended this College recently studying IT and the teachers always show up late and never expect us to be late. The breaks are also way too long exceeding over an hour on some days which make's me forget what I learnt. Even studying in the library is difficult with the chaotic environment it has.nnThe teacher's don't care about student needs and helps, almost trying to avoid helping them which is the opposite of what an educational institution should be like. Furthermore the bursary is very rude and has a very unprofessional attitude towards student needs which I experienced. Additionally the college severely lack's LSA support and when they do be assigned they do not help. I know this because I am an autistic student who found 0 help in this college's learning support team and department, they always just make excuses for why they cannot provide me with support that I am eligible to.nnThe security also does not allow students in a public park right next to the college which does not make any sense to me. I believe they go beyond their authority as an SIA security officer and act very unprofessional.nnOverall I would not recommend this college, and you are better off looking for a better college or even taking an online COMPTIA course which is probably better than this.
Even giving this college One Star is a compliment. This college is a joke with how it is run. Staff are rude and are constantly unable to be found and contact especially course managers. I have been here doing my course since 2024 and by far this is the worst thing that I have ever put myself in. Many staff use AI to mark work which I understand that it makes it easier to mark however it does not recognise Images and then marks you down. Grades given to me after my first year was mostly wrong and incorrect to what grades I have received to date following further discussions and eventually getting to the point of near rectification. An exam as far as I have investigated has been failed by at most 3 years in a row This includes previous students due to poor teaching and miss guidance on what to do this is after which we had a meeting about this and still NOTHING was done Shock. Exams are constantly rushed and left to plan at the literal last minute for some stupid reason and end up starting roughly 30 minutes to 2 hours late at some points and even going as far as days on some occasions due to Pearson the awarding body.nnServices within the college are poor and overpriced for what is given with most shops around the college providing items at a 1/4 of the price if not less. food is cheap, bland, and repetitive for the price you must pay very little options. hot drinks machine is regularly broken and whilst I am on the topic of broken do not even get me started about the lifts that seem to break down every week literally, I do not think they even last 1 month let alone a week before a fault creeps up and shuts it for a month. Library is in an open space so you can hear all the chaos of outside it’s like whoever designed it clearly knowns nothing about a library, online library for building services at least has been taken down and as far as I have chased up someone was too lazy to renew the subscription so good luck if you need a certain CIBSE guide or British Standard guide as you have to pay the full price of the books which usually start at £250 each. Timetables are so strange with in some instances breaks lasting 3 hours!!!! for no reason.nnIf you want feedback before you submit your assignment good luck! most teachers do not bother to even answer emails as I have found out leading me to mark me down a grade for one assignment making it impossible to improve it. Cleaners do not even mop the floor correctly just use a mop No water of course cause why would they and when they do no floor sign in site well-regulated health and safety conditions right there.nnSpaces everywhere are always full and not enough seating areas are provided. when you want some time to do your assignments or revision you can’t really go anywhere not like the Wi-Fi helps either as it is constantly hit or miss throughout the college. College does not really feel safe at some points due to having no security and staff around.nnI understand that college is different to schools, but I think that excuse runs a bit dry when I have been to two other colleges that were said to be the worst in havering and they performed far better than this college. I am genuinely shocked how bad this college is run and regulated. If you plan to study here, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere there are better institutions that can provide a better service than this.
So disappointed. For 15 years I’ve been going to hair schools so students can train while doing my hair, and today I spent half a day there just for the patch test. The teacher had already booked me in with a student, but apparently they’ve now decided to go somewhere else, so suddenly they won’t be doing my hair anymore.nnNow I’ve got no chance of getting another booking before my birthday. I even turned down other options because I thought everything was confirmed, and I ended up doing the patch test for nothing.nnI had also clearly explained that I was only available on one specific day between those two dates, which makes this even more frustrating.
City of Westminster College tries to look perfect in front of Ofsted, but the truth behind the scenes is completely different. The college shows a fake image of being professional and supportive, but in reality, it is disorganized, stressful, and poorly managed.nnMany teachers and staff only act nice when inspectors are present. Once Ofsted leaves, the attitude changes completely. Some teachers are rude, careless, and show no respect for students. They don’t care if students understand or not — they just rush through lessons and then blame students for struggling. There is no real support or motivation to help people improve.nnCommunication at this college is a complete mess. Timetables are changed without warning, messages are ignored, and important information is never clear. When students try to ask questions or complain, they are treated like a problem instead of being helped. The management pretends to care, but nothing ever changes.nnThe environment at City of Westminster College feels negative and unwelcoming. Many students feel stressed, unsupported, and disappointed. Instead of focusing on education, the college focuses on image — on pretending everything is fine for Ofsted and outsiders. But the people who study here every day know the truth.nnThis college needs a serious change in attitude, management, and teaching quality. Students deserve respect, fairness, and proper education — not fake promises and unprofessional behavior.
I’m surprised of the amount of negative reviews. I attended this college for my AAT Level 2 and was very satisfied with the teaching itself and with the outcome as I got a distinction. I’m continuing my Level 3 here and can say that teachers are very helpful. Special thanks to Rupa for the support and excellent teaching
