Sorry to find a rude reception staff. Usually it's friendly. However if you are coming in with a sick child you expect a little understanding and compassionate response for even a general query. Disappointed!!
Disrespectful and rude reception staff ring up first thing in a morning about a child's medication and got nothing but a young condescending female basically having a go because I'd not put the request in sooner and only just run out it's been the bank holidays also . Horrible staff should be trained in some compassionate client services or rid and some new ones because they're just sat talking doing nothing or been abusive to patients
Excellent practice. Several doctors with their own special areas of interests. Can usually get an appointment same week. Referral to specialists made quickly. Helpful and efficient support staff. Minor surgery done on site. Can't praise them highly enough.
Good luck with them, 49 year's of suffering only to be told by Dr Lumb & Dr Smith it was all my head, I don't know how much it has cost me over the years paying for the wrong medications & time off work ? I went to Park green surgery & the first doctor I saw there said " fibromyalgia" which has since been confirmed by specialist's from Stepping hill hospital ! If I could give them no stars I would
Friendly reception team, nurses and doctors. Prompt to respond and even had a follow up call from my Doctor this morning to see how I was following my last appointment. Exemplary!
My real name is Cheryl-Anne Jenkinson, in case the surgery wishes to see that I am a real patient! I cannot speak too highly of this practice, so much so, that I had to look up whether it was possible to leave a review. Prior to coming to South Park Surgery, I used to visit a Congleton one where staff excelled in making the patients feel uncomfortable, and where booking in was an anxious time because of the 'grilling' on the phone! Conversely, the South Park staff and doctors are always friendly, extremely helpful and well-informed, and expedient in everything. The booking system works a treat, and I have rarely had to even wait more than a few days. I was asked if I needed an emergency visit last time I booked in, but I chose a standard one. The triage service for emergencies--thankfully, used only once for myself--is outstanding, and a doctor calls very quickly to discuss and triage the problem. I have never felt 'channelled' through in a short time, even though the practice clearly has and meets its targets like any other. Every doctor ensures the patient feels heard and that all the issues are addressed. There's no evident clock-gazing during a consultation, and all examinations have been thorough. The doctors could not be any better; no matter which one I see, they are all just as engaged and interested, and they chat through their conclusions and recommendations instead of just pushing the patient back out. I always feel that the doctors are my ally--they are truly looking our for their patients. There's never been any of that condescending air I have experienced previously in other practices; and no lingo that could confuse people. I no longer have to dread making a GP visit, and I hear only positive from other patients too--especially the very elderly and frail. Once, I chatted to a 101-year-old gent in the waiting room. He said he loved his doctors' visits! There's no interrogation by the receptionists, just friendly and fast good service, and recently, this practice even fitted in my partner when he was home on leave, as an emergency, temporary patient. South Park Surgery really deserves the highest star rating for its consistent good care and for the upbeat, pleasant and professional nature of every doctor, in particular. They are all as excellent as each other; I really wonder how they managed to get so many great GPs under one roof! The one thing I would add, however, is that I am sure people are treated especially well if they treat the practice staff well in return. I see some abysmal behaviour whenever I visit; patients who demand to be seen 'now', crabby complainers who won't wait past the allotted time, phone call hanger-onners who won't clear the line for other patients... and so on. I latterly heard one lady complaining about waiting ten minutes past her appointment time. The thing is, if you want great service and want every patient to be heard and understood, there will be times when a consultation runs over... but I find the appointments run very smoothly and cannot remember a wait. I just don't mind, though, if there were to be one; it probably would mean some elderly person needed extra time, and I'd rather they got it! I also see lots of people who seem to be in there for coughs and colds. Come on...really? Especially wonderful in my view--for their manner with patients and a fantastically cheery yet professional nature--are doctors Jamie Butler and Mark Lumb, They are always phenomenal. I did see other outstanding GPs here, too, but looking at the practice team list, they seem to have moved on. Oh, and while I am giving this accolade--let's not forget that there is a blood clinic on site, so no traipsing to the General Hospital to have bloods taken, and there's a fabulous multi-story carpark, plus three pharmacies in the vicinity. Apart from a coffee machine, what more could we want?? Well done, South Park Surgery. You are excellent!
Totally incompetent administration. I took a form in weeks ago and asked it be filled in to say I am fit to travel to Polar regions. I was told it would cost £40 and would take at least 3 weeks to sign. I was not told to pay there and then. A couple of weeks later I received a letter saying the form would not be signed until they received payment which it said could be done by cheque. I went in to pay by cheque and was told I would still not get the form signed until the cheque was cleared by this time my travel company were threatening to cancel my travel because of the form. I then went and got the cash out , retrieved my cheque and was told the form would be given to a Dr to sign that afternoon I was also then asked to provide a letter agreeing to the disclosure of the medical information . The day after I rang to see if form was ready to be told basically that it was not and that as it was not NHS work it was not important and that it takes as long as it takes. My expedition is costing thousands of pounds and is being jeopardised by incompetent admin. They could have had letter and cash on the first day I attended if they had asked for it they would then not have needed to send a letter or deal with me at the desk or subsequent calls all of which will have taken their time .
Reception always cheerful and accomodating they always do their best to fit you in, if they cant they will put you in touch with the nurse to help you. I would never change my surgery they lovely
Not a surgery I would recommend. No help, upset patients, bad reputation, and detrimental to health.
Friendly staff and excellent doctors. A very good surgery all round. I would recommend it.
