Some amazing fresh tasting fish in great batter. I read the one dodgy review by someone that had never reviewed before or after and decided to ignore it. I’m glad I did as it was a great fish shop. I’d suggest getting there 10 minutes before it opens. Staff and friendly and polite too.
The best I have ever tasted. Batter is perfect, lovely juicy fish. Totally outdoes anything I have tried nearby, and the staff are happy and friendly and advised me on the food to order as I wasn't sure, I was ordering for a big group of people with different preferences . We did try another fish and chip shop that was local, but the person that answered the phone was very rude and not helpful. I felt as if I was annoying them for asking about the menu. That put me off straight away. Definately jolly Roger will be my choice. Can't praise it enough.
Friendly, with great allergy information.nFood was lovely, freshly cooked fish and good portion size. Chips were yummy.nNice waiting area and very reasonable prices for this day and age.
Excellent friendly service unlike some fish and chips shop staff who treat you like you've bothered them by asking for some food to be cooked for you! Excellent tasty burger, chicken nuggets and battered sausage and chips. Shame I'm on holiday or I'd come back again
Best f&c I’ve had for years. Fresh firm haddock and cod. Delicious. Just as well as Buckfastleigh doesn’t have much to offer food wise in the evening.
