This 1 star is for gp contact services in general.nAll GPs in Scotland work in this same awful way, the triage system and you need to call very early in the morning which is not always possible for people, you can't leave voicemail or text, you can't email and you can't speak to someone at the desk, even if you are poor and have no other way to talk to them. Often get put on hold or just left in silence for long times once you get through. Often find that the drs don't listen or that the short times given for appointments 8 - 15 minutes depending on the GP are not enough. Not open during weekends or hours during the week that are suitable for most workers.nnAt this point I believe instead of complaining to the GPS we should all be complaining to SNP and Westminster about this, because they are the ones that made the decision during budget announcements to have these important services work in such inconvenient ways.
Excellent care despite UK wide GP shortage. Suggest use/ train other staff e.g. Pharmacist to deal with less complex issues on the phone to free up GP.
So I started off bad with this surgery however the only bad thing is the wait time on the phone but if you call ahead early enough it’s not bad. Receptionists are nice and friendly they help when they can and do their best
Absolutely atrocious practice, I have yet to be seen by a doctor, as every time I phone up even if it's as soon as the phone lines open I can't get through. On one occasion I called less than 5mins after they opened and I was already number 45 in the queue so not surprisingly I gave up! Worst doctors surgery I've ever dealt with
I was very fortunate and got an appointment on the same day. Dr Monaghan was very kind and thorough . My husband also received compassionate and excellent care this week. Leslie is a fantastic nurse and she can take bloods like no other. Thankyou
