Isn't it strange that there's always time to send me and all other patients multiple txt to say how unwell the staff are going to be the next day then to reiterate same message the next day incase we didn't see or hear all the txt the day before.nI wasn't even aware the surgery was open at this time, 8am and after 5pm. It's almost like a warning not to call. This is so unacceptable for a NHS practise and doesn't happen in other areas because the patients wouldn't accept it, it's not respectful or reasonable to treat unwell people that way.nI confess to finding it a worry given the job they do that they're always so unwell and yet the receptionist is always on hand to dish out her/his advice so there appears many staff trained in advice, not just doctors, aren't we a lucky lot of patients to have so many medically trained staff, even those answering the phone for appointments.
I’ve been going to this surgery all my life and it has went down hill over the years with the doctors in here, been in for multiple different reasons over the years and been told I’ve been referred for surgeries to find out from NHS 24 that I haven’t been referred for some of them even though I was told I was. I’ve also been told that my leg pain which is a hip issue waiting for specialist and the last doctor I saw said he’s not helping me with pain and told me to walk normally and my pain will be gone. It hasn’t went away and I’ve been told by the same doctor to just wait until the specialist sees me. Basically saying the medical practice doesn’t want to deal with the issue. They also ignored my dad’s medical records when he was on a medication for 15years and no follow up until he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died of his illness. They ignore you and your issues until they physically can’t deal with them. Bring back the old NHS and get good doctors who care about the job and patients!
This is nonsense. I have a severe cough, and its getting to the point where I can't breathe and I'm choking. I call to make an appointment so they can refer me to a specialist. It's impossible. The phone operator says call tomorrow. The next day you call and they tell you to call back tomorrow. I'm not unemployed, so I'd have time to try calling all week. I took a day off specifically to get to the doctor.
This surgery is poorly run, and the reception staff are incredibly difficult to deal with. It is more than just bad customer service. They verge on hostile.nn​My health was put at serious risk by this practice and I know I'm not the only one. When I later discussed the incident with my hospital consultant, they were absolutely horrified by the practice's actions and their complete failure in duty of care.nn​The staff take zero accountability, are hostile when challenged, and force vulnerable patients to constantly battle for basic medication. Their incompetence poses a genuine hazard to anyone relying on them. Avoid this practice if you have a choice.
My husband James received excellent care from District nurse team, receptionists, and special mention to Drs Wilson andPollock who helped a lot while I was nursing him at home, before he was admitted to the Hospice for terminal care. Heartfelt thankyou to you all. God bless you, Jean Bertram.
