Really great interesting cuisine and ambience. The team that run this place are passionate foodies so if you want a dining experience and not just a full belly, this is a great place. If you don't eat anything beyond fish n chips then this place probably isn't for you. Good value too.

lovely tapas food, great drink, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. We come here regularly. It is also dog friendly as well which is always a bonus.

Good beer and very friendly staff in a very well decorated bar, we had a very good plate of natchos and dip and the food was being enjoyed by others.

Literally stumbled upon South 16 after a hike up the hill from the Palace Hotel. The quirky facade and whacky but interesting little artifacts made our entrance appear rather trepidacious. Countering this, we were greeted and made to feel instantly at home and offered samples of their two real ales on offer at the time (normally three but one has finished). Lovely, cosy atmosphere with a huge wood fire on the go. We had our dog Roo with us and she was particularly chilled. A perfect place to spend a couple of hours of true serenity. They had a hog roast which we didn't sample as we had (unfortunately for us) booked dinner elsewhere.
