Victoria and the team were so kind and compassionate when I visited for a 2nd trimester scan that I was very anxious about. Victoria took the time to ask me why I was visiting and then knew exactly what checks to make to give me reassurance. I have visited a different private scan clinic and can say that they were quite different approaches the other felt more suitable if you'd like merchandise I'd recommend Somerset Early Scans if you are looking for a professional but also kind and caring approach and I'm grateful.
We had a 9 week scan of our first baby with Victoria and we have booked another 16 week scan in to find out the gender. Victoria was so lovely and we are very excited to return!
Terrible experience !!!! I will never forget the stress i had to go through!!!nWent for a scan at around 16 weeks, and i was very excited to confirm the gender.Previous tonthat i did a Nipt test which was at around 11 weeks and the results came back saying that my baby is a boy as they could see XY chromosomes.nAt 16 weeks went back and they saw on the screen that my baby is a girl, they couldnt believe it and they were very worried which made me very anxious as this would be my first baby! they started explaining to me that if the blood test is different to what the scan shows then something is wrong with my baby and that a colleague had a case where the baby was born a boy but its chromosomes where xx female so when that boy will grow its reproductive system will not be working and it will need some sort of medication/treatment for the hormones, and it will not be able to have children etc...that day i left from that clinic heartbroken! i couldnt stop crying and thinking about it .started googling everything they said about syndromes, chromosomes , if a male can have female chromosomes and how does this affect his life etc...... on google you can find all sort of information , but that doesnt mean what you read is always true.Anyway , after that ,people kept calling me to refer me to a fetus specialist , saying how sorry they are for what is happening to me and blah blah WITHOUT even being 100% sure about it!They were SORRY!!nFirst time mom and they ruined my whole pregnancy! Needles to say that from that day i couldnt sleep at nights thinking that there is something wrong with my baby and all this happenned because of some non sense things that were told to me ,giving me false information and making me anxious to death! Without being sure!!!! How can you say these things to a first time mom to be ??without confirming first?!! Just because u 've heard of a similar case before???? That was WRONG!! They need to learn to not give them wrong information, or talking about what they have seen or heard because someone else's case, might NOT be my case!!!!! And you never know how this information can affect that person especially when pregnant and vulnerable!nMy baby girl is here now, healthier than ever and i thank god everyday for that.Nipt test was wrong and i d rather burn the £400 i paid for it than have that bloody test ! I amnfuming by the fact that becauseof them, my anxiety levels during this pregnancy were uncontrollable! All that stress for nothing! Shame!!!
We’d previously been to Somerset Early Scans with our first baby in 2021 and again, this month. It’s such a lovely little personal clinic. The staff are second to none. So kind, discreet and jolly. Really able to put you at ease! We were fortunate enough to see healthy babies on both occasions and able to share the gender of our babies with family and friends. Thank you for your 10/10 service team. You’re all fantastic!! Have and will continue to recommend to friends and family
Beautiful experience! Victoria and Bridget were so welcoming and caring, they were very comforting which was lovely as I was a little bit nervous due to some pains a few days before. Victoria reassured me that everything was okay and that myself and my baby are healthy. Victoria took her time to show me and my family my baby and explained everything she was doing as she went along. A truly magical experience, thank you so much!
