Had a great first visit today, no previous bouldering experience. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit worried about the fees but because we were guest visitors of already registered members we didn't have to pay the registration fee. Also I was pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to go in wearing our own training shoes and it was absolutely fine btw.nWe had a great time! Thinking about registering ourselves now.nnAdditionally:nIf you need a locker, bring a padlock.nThe toilets are absolutely fine, I didn't get the fuss in the reviews.nIt wasn't cold.nThe air conditioning works fine.nNot too busy on a Saturday afternoon.
Amazed with the experience, considering it was so busy there were still plenty of routes to try and share. Everyone was accommodating and friendly including how nice the staff were!!! Facilities are great and reasonably priced!nnJust keep in mind on your first visit you need to pay a registration fee!nnDefo visiting more often now I am working in Bristol!
Amazing place. Had an induction with Mitch think I have that right with myself and three ASD kids. Dealt with the chaos they bring so well and was really kind and generous with them. They and I had a blast. Can't recommend more.
I like bouldering when it’s quiet, so I tend to visit weekdays as soon as they open. That guarantees a good hour I’m off-peak season where it’s quiet enough to roam freely.nnIt’s not the largest climbing centre, and it can feel a bit restrictive when sections are blocked off as staff move handholds, but equally there are benefits to the frequency with which climbing routes are changed.nnStaff have always been courteous and kind when I’ve been there. The lockers are decent and ensure items can be secured safely.nnThe little coffee shop inside is a bonus and I normally grab a coffee for the drive home, but there’s also a sofa area to sit and enjoy a chat after.
Have been climbing at Bloc for nearly 3 months now. Love the atmosphere in here, it’s very friendly and chilled. Staff are absolutely lovely, and there are a great variety of climbs for all abilities. Loads of parking, good coffee, seating for reading/ working and a large open space to warm up in. Can’t fault it!
