Very nice place! We booked a table just in case it was busy! And it was but social distancing was observed. We were early but they moved things around to get us in at that time. My pint was flat but the bar man changed it no problem. Even thanked us for visiting on the way out. Definitely worth visiting if your in York.
Derek Acorah names "The Snickleway" as being amongst Britain's 100 Scariest Places to Visit in his book. The Inn is thought to be haunted by at least 5 active spirits that make their presence felt around the premises.
One of my favourite pubs in york and they have york brewery beers on tap. Great spot.
Great old character bar in the city centre with a good selection of hand pulled Ales ,Lagers and Spirits.
One of my favourite York pubs. Just lovely, snug places to sit; friendly; window seats are great for people watching the passersby outside. Fires lit in winter. Live music, good atmosphere and great handpulled beer. An easy 5 Update: Now has additional outside seating available on the pavement.

This is a classic example of a great York pub... Comfy, cheerful, lively, excellent selection of drinks.
Great place for a drink, track and trace working , nice staff
One of the best pubs in York. Great beer and friendly staff. It’s not the place for cheap lager and loud music, so if that’s your bag it’s not for you. If you like traditional ale, good conversation and acoustic music you will love it.
I liked it in there, really cosy if a little run down. And I was drinking this nice stuff Koru as well!
