Staff are always helpful and kind. The selection of jewellery is beautiful and is suitable for anyone on a budget or not. I’ve bought multiple pieces from here over the years and never had a problem with any of them.
We ll they are a wonderful family the mother is so nice the sister she os very intellectua she is verycustomer orientated they all are but this one not so propper encounter let me down i felt like what is this it isnt the standard i am acostom to so yeah it let me feel sick to me backteeth so yeah i await any compensation they can or resolve the matter respect to the poultry smiths jewellers
Shocking service witnessed this guy lock a customer in his shop today. The poor woman had just gone in to collect her fixed chain. She contested whatever chain was passed back to her as she felt it wasn't hers and maybe they had got it mixed up. The owner clearly had something to hide cause he then snatched her child's chain and refused to hand it back then refused to let her out of the shop. I had to call the police once I got out of the shop as I was worried about her well being obviously. Clearly a regular scam artist. Hope the lady is OK
STOP, BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR PRESIOUS GOLD FOR REPAIR HERE! I had a 18c gold chain brought for me by a dear relative in 1999, now I wear this chain everyday. It became my signature The clip became worn so I took it to this shop to be fix. I was quoted £30 and collect in 2 weeks. On collection from the moment the chain was placed in my hand I knew it was not mine. It felt thinner, lighter and sounded differently when i played around with it. OMG ITS NOT MY CHAIN! I voiced this to the young lady serving me by saying, "oh no I don't think this is my chain" I continued to looking at it, feeling it ect. The young lady said I'm not sure but this is the one in the packet. I then went for my phone to show her pictures of me wearing my chain. I had my chain for over 20 years and i fully know what my chain feels like. I have no connection to this switched item at all The rude, aggressive owner off the shop, heard me and decided decidedly to get very verbally aggressive with me. He attempted to snach the chain from my hand said I must give him ID. In not being successful he the snatched my daughter chain off the deck, and on my daughter telling him its her belongings he them thew it back at her on the desk. His work colleague had carried out their identification process by calling my mobile which number took from me on drop off. The call went through and it confirmed to her i was the correct collector. The owner proceeded in anger having no regards to the fact I was with my 14 year old child. He then kept me locked me in his shop for half an hour and called the police saying i had taken an item and not presented id. He cleverly diverted my concentration from my original concern that i didn't feel the chain was mine!Luckly the police sided with me and told him he had no right to keep me hostage and must let me go immediately. The owner is crafty, he cleverly switched the focus of my concerns to the item to me having no identification to collect! He then threaten me with police for not having identification.!!! Which makes no sense has his staff iD me by calling my mobile. She was also in disbelief of his actions. My original chain valued a lot, it was 18c it. I am so emotionally drained, disappointment, upset and angery. I just want my chain back it ment so much to me... this is so sad. I feel violated He has switched my chain, charged me £30 for a fake return, called the police on me for no reason, locked me and my child in his shop for half hour Nasty dishonest shop.. I'm disgusted and very very sad
Would have been a 5* but tried ringing them 5 times yesterday with no answer to see if my ring was ready after a repair I've had the ring over a year maybe 2 so had to pay for the repair £5 come on only £5 were else can you get a repair at that price one of the small stones had come out & lost so was replaced see photo I know they've had some bad reviews but I can only say as I find get your bell fixed & I'll give you 5*
Selling faulty goods and un hallmarked gold and blames you for it manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. I bought a bracelet without a hallmark they then "hallmarked" it which I've found out are invalid so resale is not possible. Don't buy from this family business they're all scam artists you'll regret it as I do! Very unprofessional!!!! Manager needs to grow up and not take his feelings out on paying customers! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
Rude, scam artists. Selling faulty and used goods as new! Avoid! They have rubbish customer service skills so don’t spend your money with them anything goes wrong they lie! Spend your money elsewhere, The prices may look good but the stuff is faulty and bad quality every time Ive been in there somebody is bringing something back. I knew I didn’t wanna spend no money with them but because I liked the item I tried to be reasonable with but they're just awful as my jewellery falling apart proves AVOID!!!!
5 stars without a shadow of doubt..bought a belcher chain from this company and I'm very happy with the service and product I received...would not hesitate to promote this company to anybody,brilliant!!!
I have e mailed you twice about sending my mum bangle back that I have received as it is very flimsy and small and I have asked for a full refund . Could you find the time to read your e mails so we can arrange for me to send the item back many thanks
Been a long time customer of smiths... use to deal with martin for years when he was near the train station. Always felt like a valued customer up until the young girl started working there... she will tell me martin isn't there even tho I seen him in in the shop 10 min before when I've walked past. Brought something for valentines day around £400 and took it back a couple days later as the missis didn't like it and lost nearly half. Martin has always told me if i keep the receipt he will give me next to what i paid for the item and she doesn't honour that. Ive had problems when I have tried to trade in for other jewellery and kept the receipt. Spent thousands in that shop and now probs lost half of that just trying to upgrade with her... had more than 3 bad experiences with this girl and lost over 2k. Finished with the shop. Will now go to the jewellery quarter in birmingham myself !
