First visit: apparently just missed the live band but, happily settled for the 'dj set', ending in a cheesy sing-a-long to some rock classics. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and toilets to behold ! Don't forget your I.D. - requested, even when you're in your 50's !!
Awesome place for lovers of Rock, Country and Bluegrass music! Great and funny bartender on Sunday afternoon + tasty happy hour ! There is live music on Wednesday night with possibility for amateurs to jam with the professionals. Last but not least, it's a place where you can meet any type of 'friends' Service: 5/5
First time at this bar, absolutely loved it in here, will definitely travel into London just to come back to this bar! Such a cool place, if you haven't been you need to visit!!
Great place for music to rock along to and have drinks with friends. Nice mixed crowd for that authentic rock bar experience. Only went for birthday drinks. Bar staff were exceptional, especially Amir who looked after us and helped us with our table reservations
Great place! Lots of live music and they give young bands a chance by letting them go and perform. They have a separate email address specifically for that purpose ! Very positive, music oriented place. I love it.
I have been going to Slim Jims every couple of weeks for years but it has absolutely gone down hill with regards to staffing and service. With the exception of one or two of the female bartenders, the staff are unbelievably obnoxious, abrasive and indifferent. They clearly don't care about the customers or the job they do in particular the male staff. It wasn't always like this... up until a few months ago, the staff were brilliant, engaging and added a lot to the experience, that was until the vast majority of the good ones left all around the same time which is telling. The location means that they benefit from a lot of first time customer footfall so they won't care about improving the situation even if regulars end up leaving. Real shame!!!

It was a great night, I was there to see the band who were doing a warm up free intimate gig before appearing at festivals. Overall definitely a five star down and dirty rock bar that is highly recommended. However one down side was the bar manager who seemed determined not to smile all night. I was sat at the bar for about three hours and had five pints of the also excellent Signature Roadie IPA, good price at £5.60. At one point after it had got busy with band playing only a few feet away a young lady asked if she could squeeze between me and the next person to get a drink, yes of course. Unfortunately the bar staff, who'd been otherwise excellent, missed her and served a couple of people either side. With her frustration creeping up I tried to attract their attention with an "excuse me", the bar manager noticed and served her and she thanked me. However the bar manager then indicated he had a problem with me and after twice failing to hear what he was saying across the bar I walked round to meet him at the end. He told me not to do what I had done, that I didn't know all that he was having to deal with, indicating his radio receiver, and basically that I had been out of order. I was very surprised as, being a bar manager myself for many many years that's the last thing I would do and felt I had been polite and courteous. No matter I apologised but I must say if I'd spoken to a customer like that is be surprised if they ever came back. He wouldn't even give me a smile as I left. Given how good the bar was, the rest of the bar staff who served me more or less the instant I needed a refill, they interaction I had with the owner I think, and the excellent band I will probably go back but it did sour what had otherwise been an excellent evening. He may well have been having problems but you don't take them out on customers.

This pub seamlessly blends a cozy ambiance with an impressive array of beverages, making it a must-visit for those seeking a memorable night out. I visited on a whim after the theatre last week; I must have passed this place dozens of times without ever venturing in. Cheers to Slim Jim's for providing an exceptional experience! There's some great graffiti in the loos... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Ordered a disarrano, they tried to serve some other amaretto drink without letting me know until I saw the bottle, then ordered a coke zero and they gave me a diet coke instead. If you order a whisky you like they'll probably try to substitute it with another whiskey and not tell you they don't have the whiskey you want, very poor and illegal.
