Pssst… Become part of London’s worst kept secret! Somewhere on Sloane Avenue lies Barts, one of London’s first late-night speakeasy bars. Set in the 1920’s prohibition era as the private apartment of the elusive Uncle Barts, friends and associates are invited to join in the bootlegging activities operated by his gangsters. Sneak into the apartment through the black door to gain access to illicit cocktails and top secret shindigs, where you can also smuggle drinks into the Secret Garden to evade the cops! Visit our shady associates any day of the week for secret trysts and covert merrymaking at Barts.

A great night! Great chat and banter with the staff and all the drinks came very quickly after we ordered them. They were really good if there was an ingredient that you wanted to substitute if there were any issues. My fave by far was the jockey club but they were all lovely. Would definitely go back!Service: 5/5
I loved this place—a speakeasy in a hotel where you need a password to get in, and reservations are recommended. The staff is fun and conversational, and the drinks are unique and delicious. I tried the Italian Connection, which had a beautiful presentation with a flower garnish. It was smooth and tasty, featuring blueberry puree, rum, Disaronno, lime, and a few other ingredients. The venue is set in a 1920s-themed speakeasy, adding to the charm.
As soon as we arrived, we knew we were in for a fun evening. The staff and management were all clearly very well trained and great fun! Nothing was too much trouble. The drinks menu had a lot of variety and the ones we ordered were very well presented. Will absolutely have to go back to try more from the menu! The location is also great as it really adds to the vibe! I would absolutely recommend a trip to Barts!
I had an amazing night trying out cocktails recommended by Alejandro. Each drink was unique and perfectly crafted, with a great balance of flavors. Cool bar near South Kensington, it’s in the hotel in case you can’t find it. Good atmosphere on weekend, music is more like old school. My favo cocktail is the one with cookie, very sweet Food: 5/5
One of the best speakeasy bars I've been to. We actually had a hard time finding the entrance despite the directions from the hotel lobby lol. And you need to say the password before they let you in. They look at you through the peep window on the door Loved the concept and loved their cocktails. Friendly staff as well.Food: 5/5
Definitely a cool bar. Sadly the experience wasn't that great, since we've been seated on the worst table at least it looked like, which was in the middle of the room. The seats were metal and cold, all others were a bench or cushioned seats. Also we would feel the cold breeze since it was next to the Terrasse entrance. There were a lot of free tables, don't know why we had to sit there after a reservation. Also a drink wasn't available and the tap water wasn't good. The cocktails were also only average. The waiters were nice and the drinks menu was lovely however.
Barts has become one of my favourite places. The atmosphere is sophisticated but cosy, with dim lights and a decoration that combines modern elements with vintage touches. The walls are adorned with local works of art, which gives an artistic air to the place. Music is another of their strengths; they create a perfect atmosphere to relax. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a quiet conversation or just get carried away by the experience. Alejandro as a waiter, not only stands out for his recommendation in the cocktail bar, but also for his charisma. Every drink you recommend is a masterpiece, and your knowledge of the ingredients makes each choice unique. In addition, he is always willing to recommend something new, which adds a personal touch to each visit. In short, this bar not only offers exceptional cocktails, but also an immersive ambiance and service that makes you feel special. Without a doubt, it is worth a visit.
I love it! The best bars I've visited in London so far. The whole atmosphere is perfect! All the secrets, devoration, music... Everything is amazing! The drinks are different from any other I've ever had and they're delicious! The staff is gentle and very kind. The only point is that the bar offers simple snacks, so it's better to eat before going there if you're hungry :. I really recommend it and I'll be back soon for sure!
Fantastically eccentric hidden cocktail bar in the heart of Chelsea / Knightsbridge that I will be recommending to all my friends! I feel like I’ve discovered a hidden secret in london that nobody knows about! Highly recommend! Fantastic range and taste of cocktails to suit everyone
