Skyliner hosted my mums 80th birthday party recently and WOW , the day went perfect , the staff could not have done more for us they certainly went above and beyond to see the day ran like clockwork ,and the food was the usual excellent quality , 32 meals all out together , all piping hot and 32 empty plates after . We could not ask for more from Alvin and all his staff . Thank you so much for making mums day , a day she and all her guests will never forget . Thank you . Ps I was sat near to a friend and her husband who travelled from Filey known for fish and chips but said there is no fish shops in Filey that could compete with the fish and chips they had yesterday .. well done Skyliner ..
Get fish and chips for my kids as a weekend treat won't be going again after today wouldn't feed the fish to my dog. The picture is after I chiseled the cast iron burnt batter off. VERY DISAPPOINTED.Food: 1/5

A delightful spot full of charm and character. The staff service was phenomenal and the food was outstanding. And the speed we were served at was impeccable. I can't recommend it enough.
Visited The Skyliner Leeds, 3/5 from me. We did share a portion of chips, so don’t think that was the full portion. dandelion and burdock was absolutely terrible, anyone had that before? . Fish was average size with nice batter. Curry and peas nice also. Fish had a lot oil not drained correctly and chips little hard £30.60. NOTE NO COD ON MENU
EDIT: June 2024. Returned for a late Father's Day meal with Pops. Everything was absolutely perfect. Another win for The Skyliner ________________________________________ Food was absolutely delicious. Seafood Platter is to die for. Staff were friendly & although been VERY busy, they did a great job. 4 Adults + drinks, less the £80. Great value. We will return.
A super restaurant with great atmosphere. Waitress absolutely lovely. Good choice of dishes. Haddock excellent, as were the chips. I fancied a sweet but I was too full after the main course. The only thing that let it down was the vinegar. It didn't taste malty. That means that I didn't have that taste sensation that I expected. I would go again but I might have to smuggle in some sarsons!
Finally been in to the restaurant part of the Skyliner today and can’t fault a thing. I already knew the food was great as I’ve used the out-sales part of the business a few times but I found the restaurant to be clean, very well designed, warm and welcoming. The host who served us was fantastic throughout. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious too. If you plan to visit, I do recommend booking as I came around 1pm without a booking and it did fill up for lunch time not long after. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again in future. Thank you for a very pleasant afternoon with my dad.
Actually one the worst fish and chips I’ve had in a while. Ordered three times and they were supposed to be well done, it wasn’t, the fish was so greasy that I was unable to eat it all. Arguably the most important thing from the order was missing, scraps!!! Fish and chips without scraps isn’t even worth eating imho. I specifically asked for a bag of scraps enough for 5 people phone order to be collected but when the order arrived at home the scraps weren’t there. Might be a minor to most people, well not to us, and this is why I have reviewed as such. Won’t ever be eating from here again, no wonder they wanted payment over the phone first….
Called here after Xmas shopping for a chippy lunch. While waiting a gentleman came in kicking off about the quality of his fish and chips and said we’re best not eating here. I wish I’d listened to him! After getting home and opening up the fish, the batter, what little there was on the fish was soggy and not edible and chip’s mediocre. The curry sauce poor too. This place was great a few years back, but clearly there is a quality issue here atm. Probably the worst chippy lunch I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Steer clear as there are far better other chip shops in area.
