This use to be the best Chip shop in Leeds. My family and I have been eating here since I was about three years old and I am 44 now. My last attempt the chips were hard and black. Most of the time the fish and chips are great/good. Customer service good and I don't live far. Need to sort out your chips your charging money and it's not worth it!

I'm not really a fish and chips person so hear goes chicken and chips my favorite, good portion size too. Paties chicken, fish and beef being my favorite like Cornish pasty but nicer. West Indian style large fried dumplings, lovely. Fish cakes made with fish not potatoes mini fried fish love them. Loved it!! chips peas well gorgeous. Fish beautiful Dumplings are astronomical Patties delightful and the CHICKEN YOU HAVE NOT TASTED ANYTHING BETTER. Beautiful takeaway highly recommend
No ,no, the food is horrible now , before it was so good the old owner had it 10/10 now it's gone down hill , the food is undercooked the fish is oilily and fishy tasting. The owner has a horrible attitude problem, I will never spend my money in this place again. Its lucky I gave it 1 star kmt.
Cantors have been around for many years. Originally based on a Caribbean type takeaway. In the past they would sell meals like strewed chicken and curried goat. Always you could purchase fried dumplings. I went there today some people wearing a mask some no mask. This must be challenged along with too much people in the shop at any given time. The food is disappointing the fried dumplings are so tasteless. The hot wings were raw inside the chicken was of a very pure quality. The fried chicken very salty and most certainly lacking taste and quality. The service was confusing and lacked any form of organisation. I looked at their battered fish, this looked so under cooked and unappetising. If people are cooking food of a different culture to them they should try and get someone into the business who understands how to cook that type of food. I will not be going back. I live 40mins from chapletown such a waste of money, petrol and energy.
A big long hair found in my fish and chips, it was disgusting, put me totally off and I haven't bought from there since, I won't be buying there again. Very bad food hygiene, completely revolting,
