I am deeply saddened to see that the Sitar appears to have closed. For almost ten years I went there, either to sit and eat with friends or get a takeaway. Was it the best Indian restaurant I’d ever been to? No but it was a familiar and comfortable place where the service was good and the food was nice and the prices were excellent.
The service was exceptional in here and the food matched it. It got quite busy in here and the service didn't slack because of it, would definitely go back. Nice and close to the town centre as well.
Very friendly staff. The food was beautiful. Would deffonatly recommend to Indian food lovers.

Watery flavourless sauce, zero heat to madras, undercooked naan bread, frozen and deep fried onion bhaji, same sauces used on all side dishes - overall quite appalling.
Absolutely disgusting the chicken was raw. First time I have ordered from here and will definitely be the last. Thank god I tried it before my daughter had some, absolutely raw I’ve sent it off to food standards as it was that bad!!!
Great food and service, as always. You can't go wrong here!
