The hotel is divided into couple of buildings - my room was not in the main one, which did not work well given all functional spaces and breakfast are in the main building and it was pouring rain whole of our stay.nThe room itself was spacious club room, bed very comfortable. The heating is done via a/c and it took very long for the room to warm up. It also did not help with drying shoes and soaked coat. In general the room was on a cooler side. It was also very far from the elevator and the entrance in general. The rooms do not have a character, look like a general hotel room anywhere. I had issues breathing - and then I noticed it was quite dusty, probably from the a/c.nWhat I really really did not like was that the doors did not have doorsill, so you can see light coming from under the door but mainly hear what is happening in the hallway. I was woken up at 3am by loud group of ladies probably coming back from a bar. With alarmclock at 5am it was not the best.nIn general staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, just by the river, walking distance everywhere, still quieter part of the town.
The hotel looked amazing the room was clean and we had everything in it we needed for 1 night.nnWe didn’t eat in the brasserie but had a night cap on our return the staff were friendly and efficient in their jobs although the drinks were a little pricey.nnBreakfast next day was amazing good selection and well presented and views over the Thames were awesome.nnOverall we had a pleasant stay and would’nt hesitate to return.nnChris & Elaine
This hotel is in a fabulous position situated on the banks of the Thames with amazing views and just a very short walk to the town centre and the castle. We arrived early about 1230 and our room was ready andwaiting. Reception staff are so friendly and helpful with staff around to help carry your bags to your room. Our room was one of the biggest we have stayed in for a long time with a king size bed, small two seater sofa, side table and two more arm chairs. Complimentary tea, coffee etc which was refilled every morning but if you needed more in between times ask at reception for them. One large free bottle of still water in the room but again if needed another can be bought from reception. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, there are just so many restaurants in Windsor tyou are spoilt for choice. Waiting staff always try to sit you with a view of the river but again not guaranteed. Food was plentiful, piping hot and tasty. Varied too in hot and cold dishes. My one and only gripe is that there is no lift this is not mentioned on their website and our room was up quite a number of stairs which wasnt great for me. If i had known this would have requested a low floor when booking but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked during our stay. Oh and book direct with the hotel and get a free drink of your choice from the bar.
My freind and I stayed here 25th October for two nights. The location is great, closes to the station. Easy to walk to the Castle, and in proximity to pubs, shops and restaturants.nnThe room was clean and well equipped, although plenty of stairs which made the premises very quaint.nnStaff were extermly courtious and the breakfast overlooking the River is highly recomended. Watching the swans over a nice cup of tea is a great start to the day,nnHope to visit again
I visited this hotel today for afternoon tea with a group of six, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Despite having a booking and the staff knowing we were there for cream tea, it took 25 minutes just to have our order taken. When the tea finally arrived, the food followed, but the sandwich selection was very limited. We were then offered additional sandwiches about half an hour later, by which point we had already moved on to the sweet items.nThe afternoon tea was advertised as free-flowing and unlimited, yet we were only offered tea or coffee once throughout the whole visit. For something priced at £40 per person, the service should have been attentive and high-quality, but it was consistently poor.nWe had to ask twice for the bill, and both times the staff forgot to bring it over. We ended up walking to the bar, where several staff were standing around but still managed to be unfriendly and unhelpful. To make matters worse, we were automatically charged a £27 service charge, which absolutely did not reflect the level of service received.nOverall, the experience fell well below expectations, and I cannot justify the cost for such poor service. I would not return and cannot recommend this afternoon tea based on our visit.
