Unfortunately is not a good word to start a review with but is entirely justified here. The Singleton Barn is old and tired and that is reflected in both it's menu and staff ( the latter of which could barely raise a smile when behind the bar). The eating area i was in was dark and the menu uninspiring. The food when delivered was very ordinary and in my case not as advertised ! Sweet potato and butternut squash mash arrived as what tasted like Smash instant mash with a couple of butternut cubes in it. The Barn could be a fantastic venue but it really needs a good shake up for that to begin to happen.

Staff are always friendly and have been here a few times now to listen to the band's play on a Saturday night and catch up with friends. Good all weather out doors area and plenty of seating usually.

Just been to the barn tonight, for my daughter's 16th birthday tomorrow. Lovely food, though I couldn't eat all mine, sorry but not impressed with the service, or the staff tonight. Found the guy pretty over the top, my daughter wasn't overly impressed with his attitude towards her likes & dislikes. I found him quite snidey, not good in this industry, where politeness & customer service is meant to be so important. Won't be coming back in a hurry

Good food and service we had 16 people with us all happy was up stairs only complaint too hot needs fans or air conditioning and this was in march so weather not that hot don't think it would be good in the hot summer if we ever see the sun but 5 stars very good
