Tasty food and good value, especially nice to have a non-chain that’s actually good in Ashford! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was really tasty with a lot of filling. Service was a little slow but there was a very big party in, but I imagine on a weekend they would have more staff in.
A nice place to eat. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly but there did seem to be a slight issue with communication. The food took a while to come out I was starving hungry so it may have felt longer than it was! And the cider was very good. I would recommend a visit. The platter was very good value and gave a good indication of the various items on offer.
Excellent food.....web it arrived. Bar staff spent 90% of the time chatting amoungst their selves at bar. When they did finally get to the table they had no idea what was going on. Got there for our table at 5:30 got our drinks. Ordered food which meant the starters took about half an hour to come out, but while we waited another table had also commented on the poor service. Once we had our starters we had another hour wait for the food which was nice finally by about half 7 which is 2 hours after we arrived it took us 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us to get the bill. When we did get the bill they failed to mention that the card machine worked....this was after we got there at half 5, after waiting almost an hour and half In total for the food. Still no one wanted to mention the card machine wasn't working. After one I put party had to walk in the dark to get cash out it wasn't nice overhearing 2 of the staff debating who would actually want to take the payment. Probably wouldn't come back here even though the food was lovely. Such a shame
What a great addition to Ashford, saw this place the other week just across from the Taproom and decided to give it a go. Read the reviews about slow food and service but to be honest we had none of that. Really friendly place, great service and food. We had the burnt ends and Mac and cheese balls seriously good and then the sharing platter, low and slow. Absolutely no complaints as we roll ourselves out of here. Will definitely return. Thanks to Sarah for looking after us!
We waited over two hours but never received our food. When we chased it up it gradually became clear that they had no recollection of which tables had ordered which food. We paid for our drinks and left feeling hungry and disgruntled. The food made be excellent for all I know, but I can only recommend going a few hours in advance of feeling hungry and being prepared to re-order several times!
My other half and I went to Que's on Friday 19/1/18 looking forward to their ribs to find out there were none on the menu that evening due to late deliverey and 6hr cooking time. A little disappointed we left saying we'd be back same time next Friday. When arriving at Que's this evening we were greeted with a warm welcome and an apology, remembering my name and giving us our first drinks on the house! The service was fantastic and the ribs delicious. Well worth the week wait.
Really poor service, having to wait over an hour before our starters came out and then another hour on top for the mains. There was only two other tables in there with us. When the main came the steak was fairly tough but having waited for so long for it, I couldn't be bothered to complain. They're too busy prioritising take away orders to care about the customers that actually go in there. Personal opinion is avoid unless you're ordering take away.
Nice atmosphere but poor food. Went there for a meal with friends. Both my partner and I were up all night with bad stomachs. He had the ribs, which were very under cooked and he literally had to carve the meat off the bone not how ribs are supposed to be. Emailed them with some constructive criticism, which I've had no reply to. Very disappointed!
Que's has become my favourite restaurant in Ashford by quite some margin. From its brilliant food to its boozy cocktails, Que's deserves it spot in Ashford fighting amongst the big food chains that seem to dominate today's market. The food is full Of flavour and offers value aswell, especially if you like chicken fajitas. You get a plate full of sizzling chicken and veg with dips to complete... All for £12. You won't leave hungry after this meal that's for sure. If you love true American food including slow- cooked-fall-apart meat then this is your place. Brilliant little place.
I are there tonight and had the sample platter - which was delicious. Good, authentic American style BBQ cooking. Not too spice so the smokey flavours of the meat cane through. Ask for the sauces on the side and enjoy some of the meat first before adding it. The staff were very friendly and I will certainly be eating there again. Rumour has it that the local EHO also enjoys eating there. It does not only server BBQ but is also a cocktail bar. I didn't try any cocktails myself but the ones I saw being served tonight looked very colourful.
