Did exactly as asked. Moved from a 2 bed to a 2 bed. Arrived slightly after start time but the two guys did everything. They carried all Items to the truck took it to the destination and unloaded for me. 2 Items were damaged and that was my fault for not preparing them for transport correctly (bubble wrap is king). Cost £340. Paid it gladly since no way I could move 2 sofas up a narrow flight of stairs. Overall very happy would recommend again.

Booked a few weeks ago and paid good price. Had to cancel teo days later and money back into account promptly. Booked again Thursday 5.25pm for Monday pm. They arrived 12.25pm friendly couple of men. When arrived at nursing home, they where courteous and respectful. Thank you!

Moved in October 2017, from a tiny 1.5 bed flat (to a 3 bed house). Paid £853. Wish I could give them minus 10. Arrived late. First thing i did was ask most senior dude to validate the quote, which he did reluctantly. Tried to charge me for more boxes than they quoted (either incompetent estimate or deliberate a ploy to hook me onto an impossibly low price which they could then true up using my property as leverage loaded into their van on the day)... I saw that trick coming a mile away and told them to fornicate away, sticking to my guns that i wasn't going to pay a penny more than the estimate. Also tried to charge me for an extra trip... saw it coming a mile away and my answer was identical to the previous response i gave them. Damaged both the flat I was leaving and the house I moved into. Damaged lots of my belongings. Damaged my furniture. Damaged my electrical items. Said they would finish by 3-4pm on day 2 (of a 2-day process for the full packing service)... finished at midnight!!! I ended up giving them an extra 50 tip as the poor lads told me they only made 50 a day! Terribly clumsy in dealing with my belongings and moving around my property. Also, seemed to use the toilet excessively and always left it as if a 4 year had just had an accident. Please avoid. Next time I will not be tempted by the cheapest quote, it is not worth it. All in all a MASSIVE HEADACHE, which is exactly what I was paying to avoid. My recommendation is to avoid like the plague. You have been warned.

I would recommend my worst enemy. They damaged items, lost items. They damage my newly painted walls and ceilings, scratched my newly laid floors. I complained to the guy who came out to quote, who said he would look into it and he did nothing. Not protecting the floor in the old house There were not sufficient sheets laid on the floor to ensure that the flooring was left clean. There were big mud spots left all over the house. Damaged outside wall in old house The end of the wall on the front garden was hit by some of the items which knocked it loose. They didn’t advise me that they knocked it, I noticed this myself. Lots of marks and knocks in new house There were many times where the removals men hot the walls or ceiling with items they were bringing into the house. Driver removing sheets when work not complete Half way through unloading the van, the driver decided to start removing the sheets on the floors and I had to keep putting more sheets down to avoid the floor being dirtied and damaged. One of the removal guys quite clumsy One of the removal guys in particular kept banging into the walls and hitting the ceiling and banging things on the floors. Driver had enough and started throwing all boxes in the house, not in correct rooms When they were close to finishing the job, the driver decided to start bringing things into the house without a care of which rooms they belonged in, even though every box was clearly marked. He was very impatient and just wanted to leave, so beds ended up in the living room.

Please stay away from Simply Removals. We had a terrible experience with them towards end of last year. Having paid for the packing and moving service, the packers arrived 4-5 hours later than expected and came with far fewer boxes than requested (and these were much smaller than expected) and without enough packing material. They managed to pack up only 40% of the items and promised to arrive early the next day, our move day, to finish the packing. The packers never arrived the next day which meant that we had to do 60% of the packing ourselves with last minute request to our friends and family to help us out - we still haven’t got a refund for this having chased up several times! As part of the deal, the company was supposed to set up beds and wadrobes at the new place but didn’t manage to do any set-up due to late arrival of movers. The truck was much smaller than requested (based on estimate provided) which meant that the movers had to make two trips, finished only at midnight and were clearly too tired to make another trip to finish the job. This meant that we had to move rest of the stuff ourselves over the next few days involving multiple trips by car!!! The management staff were uncooperative and didn’t respond to our requests or complaints during the move and after, and still haven’t compensated us for not providing the service we had paid for. A complete nightmare of a move, with only a partial service provided, which set us back £850!
