As a first time renter, I found both Rupert and Chris approachable and efficient. Whenever any work was required, it was arranged quickly and at a mutually convenient time. An enjoyable experience as far as renting goes.
We have been renting a property through this agent for just over 2 years and my fiance and I can't speak highly enough of Rupert and the company in general. The few problems we have had with the property have been dealt with in a very speedy and professional manner. The electricians, plumbers and workmen he uses are of an equally good standard. If for any reason we had to leave this house which we sincerely hope we don't then we wouldn't hesitate to go through them again and probably wouldn't consider any other agent because of past horrendous experiences with previous agents and landlords. A great big things up to all the team.
Though I had a relatively short stay with Shropshire lettings just 9 months I had a great experience with them. I rented a room in a shared building through Shropshire Lettings in the center of Shrewsbury. The Room I rented was fine in terms of condition and the location was fantastic. The only problems I had were with some of the other tenants in the building. However Shropshire lettings quickly delt with the problems I had and overall were very supportive, so much better than any of the other lettings company's id had back at university. Id recommend Shropshire lettings to anyone looking for affordable and well placed accommodation in or around the Shrewsbury area.
Two of the most arrogant individuals I have ever had the displeasure ever to meet. I was given the immediate impression of superiority complexes because we are relocating to Shrewsbury and ''renting'' until we decide on what to buy and where to buy.Both these individuals are in the wrong industry in fact if either were in my employment they would not last a week.Get of that high horse both of you before someone knocks you of it.My advice would be avoid this company completely ''see their previous feedback'' and go directly to the landlords eliminating these type of agents.The government should be clamping down on these unethical mickey mouse companies that want money for doing absolutely nothing and look down their snotty noses at people that without us ''potential tenants'' would be unemployed.I sincerely hope our paths do not cross ever again!
Shropshire Lettings acted as a letting agent for me for the last 12 years. During that time I had excellent service and no days when the property was unoccupied. They are very professional and efficient and I would highly recommend them.
If I can give you one piece of advice. Run Away!!!! The unfortunate side of the Shropshire Lettings is the way they treat their customers. In particular how one member of staff Rupert treats the customers. As one of the previous reviews mentions. Call the company, if you get through to the man who is the cause of many issues with the firm, it'll take you less than 5 minutes talking to him to realise what sort of person you'll be dealing with if you go with this agency. It took us about 2 years to get used to his attitude and we still find him quite insulting. If you can deal with that then well done, your more patient than me. I did originally put up a negative review about the company many months ago, after the owner of the business was quite insulting to myself and my girlfriend. This was when we went into the office to try and resolve some issues which had been dragged out for months. He was very dismissive and it was obvious he wasn't listening/didn't care about the solutions we were suggesting to resolve the problems we were having with the apartment mainly no hot water and no isolation fuse for the plugs. During this meeting he openly insulted my girlfriend and although the conversation did get heated, I pointed out he had a number of negative online reviews so there is a majority of people that think he is the cause for many company faults. If he hadn't been so rude and insulting and offered a solution to resolving the problem or called the landlord/left a voicemail infront of us we would have felt reassured and left straight away instead of causing a heated row.
We have found lovely property on Shropshire lettings website and there were no problems to arrange viewing. Had couple issues that needed to fix before moving in, but there were resolved without any questions. All process was really easy and still happily living in this property!
Rupert is a complete star ! I had my property on the rental market with another agent for six months and they utterly failed to find a Tennant. Within one week, yes one week, Rupert and Chris found the ideal tennants. I have since asked them to find more tennants since and they always deliver within days ! Rupert has a magic way of matching tennants to properties. He is quite simply brilliant. Eccentric yes but he really knows his job ! Love this company !!!!!
I had a good experience with this letting agency and will definitely use again. The owner and staff were very courteous and experienced. The letting process was straightforward with good customer service Contrary to the other reviews, in all my dealings,I found the owner to be very professional and respectful to his customers. Telephone and email enquiries were promptly replied issues with the property were fixed within a moments notice.
