"The Shopmobility scheme lends manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to people with limited mobility to shop and visit leisure and commercial facilities within the town, city or shopping centre.Within this Shopmobility you are able to hire a manual wheelchair or powered scooter to explore the Merrion Centre and Leeds city centre.We have 8 powered scooters and 3 manual wheelchairs available to hire.Booking in advance is preferable in order to secure your scooter/wheelchair hire for preferred day and time."

Such a friendly man works at this centre. We were not members of the shop mobility service so had to leave a £20 deposit and pay £10 for scooter hire, but I’m so glad places like this exist as it helps my fiancé get around as he has limited walking capabilities due to a foot calliper fitted to his left foot. Only criticism I have is it’s very easy to walk past the signs pointing you toward the shop, they’re literally on top of you until it’s too late, it wouldn’t hurt The Merrion Centre to put signs up around the shopping mall to point you in the right direction. If in Leeds will use again. Thank you

I use this service as I have a walking disability. I glad this service is available. Kyle and Terry looks after us,from the shop.
