It was easier to get through this time as normally you wait ages. The staff member was kind, polite and helpful and encouraging on issues that I knew legally myself but I wanted to explore options open to me and they helped to get clear on my options. It's always a good experience when you get a helpful staff member who listens and gives you the opportunity to find what's best for you.
It depends what you're seeking it may not be the right one also need an appointment it can takes sometimes
I had already looked through the CAB website on the issue I was interested in. After I had read what I had found I felt a face to face conversation would still be helpful. I excused myself from the office for a short while and hoped I would not be too long as a drop-in to the Leeds CAB office. I did not have to wait long in the queue for an appointment and had a really helpful conversation with the person to whom I spoke. I would definitely recommend the extremely valuable assistance of the Citizens Advice Bureaux

Absolutely terrible, couldn't give me advice except for what I could search for myself. The lady seemed very nice, but maybe not the job for her. Really disappointed, as I'm at end of my tether with no money and benefits are saying I'm entitled to backdated money, but not giving me it. God knows what I'm gonna eat at Christmas or wether my electric will even be on. And that's no exaggeration.
The welcome staff and security seem to have a big problem with first time visitors asking for help. They were insulting abd made me feel bad about myself. If I knew what to do I would not have asked for help. In the end I just left.
Appalled I have called everyday for 2 days. On hold 1hr, 1min n 11seconds yesterday to be transfered to debt helpline that still didn't answer. All I want is to book an appointment for my poor dad he's worried sick. Still no answer after calling from 9am untill 9.30am joke. Who is this helping. Online chat can't help n emails don't even help.
Shamim Khan was really helpful and wonderful with me over the phone, providing me with a myriad of information regarding my rather complicated housing situation. We spoke for around thirty minutes on the matter and I came out of the phone call feeling very assured and well informed.
Awesome, friendly, reassuring and super helpful. Really put me at ease, helped me get some scary issues into much better perspective and made sure that I knew I could come back with any updates and get further advice.
