Love the food here. If you're unsure the chefs special menu gives you a taste of everything. My personal favourite is the masala dosa. There's a buffet at the weekend but the quality remains high. Service is nice and friendly and the Cobra beer on tap is a new bonus. It is vegetarian, and I'm not. But you won't miss meat as there are so many flavours and textures to enjoy. Excellent value too. I'd be surprised if you could eat more than £15 worth and the buffet is even better value.

Very nice simple cooking and great value. It’s a short walk from the centre and well worth it. I read some of the reviews about service and I’d like to say that we were served very politely and quickly. I wondered if the bad reviews were provided by people who were less pleasant customers. On the other hand I don’t give five stars lightly as it devalues it and makes it impossible to Star a truly remarkable place.

Authentic, vegetarian South Indian food - good preparation for spending 9 months in South India myself. So much about Shivalli is excellent; the atmosphere, price, service and quality of the food. The buffet is awesome and well worth recommending - even for those that are not vegetarian themselves.
