1 star is even optimistic. Such a shame, Shish Mahal was always the place to go and we have always recommended them but that's a couple of really bad meals and experiences we have had. Tonight we spend over £30 and received; * Rice which was fine * 1 poppadum #1 all smashed up * 1 cold soggy naan * 2 cold salty and oily currys with very little chicken * 1 portion of small, cold and rubbery chicken pakora Phoned in to give feedback because we have always liked them but shouldn't have bothered. Any recommendations for a decent Indian take away in East Lothian required.

Food was very average at best. Was probably the worst Indian restaurant I've ever been to. One of the party ordered Korma it tasted like it had two table spoons of sugar in it sickly sweet. Meat in mixed grill was dry and not very tasty. Very expensive for the quality. Wasn't even real ice cream. Wouldn't recommend or go back again.
