Fantastic food and great drink selection. Lovely old style pub by the water. Great team and really nice service. Very warm and friendly. A few grumbles on here about the prices - in my opinion, it’s fantastic quality and the prices are very fair.
No car park but is public parking for the village on the way in. 5min walk through lovely village. Old and quaint inside. Food very good as is the beer. Garden is 3 terraces overlooking the Helford River. But there is access into the pub and top terrace for wheelchairs. You'll need to check about a disabled toilet though. Xx
Stopped off here for lunch after a lovely walk. A warm welcome greeted us to be followed by delicious food. The goat's cheese salad on sweet potato with caramelised walnuts was delicious, plum & port crumble for pudding. Fabulous views! Should have done the walk after the meal. Highly recommended.
Have been bringing and recommending my guests to come here for years, through different ownership and management. Tonight not good. At 10pm staff putting chairs up on the tables around us. Really? I get you had a busy weekend, but this is the start of the season, and if this is what it's going to be like then we'll go elsewhere. Food good, but being rushed out like this ruins an evening.
My first visit here. I had to do some work & had my laptop. The pub staff very kindly told me their Wi-Fi code & I completed my work tasks. We had pizza, as that’s what they offer at lunch & it was a lovely pizza. No soggy pizza here. Staff friendly, pizza really enjoyed & view is beautiful. Hopefully will return.
Lovely setting with loads of outdoor seating to watch the tide go up and down, whilst you enjoy some really good cask ales and tapas food.
Had the most amazing meals at the Shipwrights Arms this week. The serving and bar staff were so so lovely and made us feel at home. They even opened the kitchen early for our very hungry son. The Goan fish curry and the ribeye steak were incredible, a Gastro pub more like an upper class restaurant with an unreal view and fantastic atmosphere.
We made a reservation in November after many years of visiting under various management - and this visit was sadly very disappointing. While we must say that our waitress was lovely, our mains were vastly overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food - 5 pieces of scampi for about £16.00 and hardly any actual fish inside the fish and chips, just batter. The bar was very cold and didn’t encourage us to stay - sadly we will not be coming back.
Beautiful old quirky pub, nice staff, dog friendly and stunning views!
Great way to end dry January. Perfect end to a lovely walk along the Helford.
