Cycled up hill and down dale in search of a decent Sunday carvery, in a welcoming and friendly pub. Picked 'The New Inn' as service was longer than others in the area, and we like peace over packed. We made the right choice it seems! Lovely cozy, chilled out atmosphere, really friendly Landlady, staff and locals at the bar unlike our own local. Fab traditional food served in the little restaurant, and a pool table we will certainly be back, it's worth the long trek if simply for the warm and welcoming vibe. Thanks so much you're all lovely
Been here a few times and today was our second Sunday carvery lunch visit. Portions are more than ample and the vegetables are varied and well cooked. The vegetarian nut roast option was excellent as well. Book early as this is now so popular that they have limited spaces.
Only visit on walk for a drink...Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Returning Saturday evening for meal so can assess better then.
In a part of the world where it might be fair to say that some waterside pubs tend to trade on their locations and serve indifferent food on sticky tables via surly brats, the New Inn stands out as a proper pub, in a great village. Landlady is really welcoming, atmosphere is friendly, beer is excellent, menu is good. Dog friendly, visitor friendly, nothing not to like. Thanks for a lovely meal.
We just had an incredibly good meal in this lovely friendly pub. With so many pretentious pubs in the area its great to find The New Inn. It's nicely decorated, the staff were welcoming, but most of all the food was superb. Thank you.
Old thatched pub with a atmospheric interior and a small beer garden at the rear next to the car park. Really good food, especially the seafood, and a historic interior. Set in the very quiet, pretty village of Manaccan on the Lizard peninsula.
Felt most welcomed on walking in. Very good and helpful bar staff and manager. Definitely would recommend this place to all .
Warm and friendly host, good food and great local beers. Great outdoor garden for ala'cart eating, fairly large car park to rear of the property, especially for a small great village.
We came here for a carvery on a rainy Sunday afternoon and both the food and service were exceptional! Our waitress was friendly and attentive in a way that made you feel like you were one of the locals and the roast was one of the nicest I've had in a pub. It tasted like it was cooked with love and you could taste the freshness of vegetables - plus creamy leeks AND cauliflower cheese was a winner!
We nipped in here on our hike, the Landlady was lovely, great service, beer and food in a beautiful area of Cornwall. Highly recommend
