I can't recommend these guys highly enough. My top choice for music tuition and all your musical need in their shop too. They are really friendly and helpful. When I was doing We Will Rock You at the Birmingham Hippodrome, Shades helped me out with music and tuition for my next audition...Brilliant, and nice people too!

After recently moving to the area I decided to pop into my new local music shop. They stock a good range of instruments, books as well as loads of accessories. It seems as though they cater mainly for beginner to intermediate musicians, even offering an in house tuition service staffed with pros based in the area. The staff were friendly and very happy to help. Am sure I will be back soon!

I am a music professional and educator and use Shades regularly, they are always freindly and bend of backwards to help with whatever I need. There is a good selection of mid range stock with the odd gem of a guitar thrown in so it is really worth popping in to see what they have in stock. They also run an extremely good music tuition programme employing very good educators who are all very talented professional musicians. The tuition is all based upstairs and it is nice to see such enthusiasm from both staff and students when the students come for their lessons. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough it is a lovely place to browse, ask questions and learn.

Great music shop with friendly and professional staff. They also offer one-to-one music tuition on a variety of instruments. I would definitely recommend this shop.
