Not long moved to the area and the second time I've used this garage for an MOT . Very happy with the service, friendly and helpful. The car needed some minor repairs that they were able to do at a reasonable price. No complaints whatsoever. Thank you.
I use Protyre to get my car serviced and have been happy with the service provided, however I went to get my car air con regassed and unfortunately that was not possible because of an identified leak. It turns out the air con couldn't be repaired because it involved removing the front bumber to get to the area that required attention. After the removal of the gas I did receive a full refund, but it's a shame the issue couldn't be fixed.
Karl and the team did a great job on my car; very helpful explaining everything and working within my time frame. Even reduced a cost as he wasn’t happy with the finish on the headlights that got repolished even though they looked a lot better than before, practically new looking!. Well worth seeking their help and services whenever you need to.
Dropped my car this morning to have brake pads/discs replaced - got a call within a couple of hours to say that they didn't need replacing. Fair play for the honesty and will be back again with confidence in future.
I would not hesitate to recommend Protyre to anybody! I use this garage repeatedly because the service they offer is completely above and beyond. They are so helpful and super friendly and always go to extremes to make any issues you have so easy and stress free. As a young driver I would not go anywhere else, Shaun and the team have helped me so many times with short notices and emergencies and always do everything they can to help me out, especially with things I don’t understand! Booked my caravan in for new tyres including the refitting of tyron bands. The work was completed on time and without any problems. They even inflated the jockey wheel tyre which was a little flat!! Special thanks go to Sean & Carl for their service and attention to detail.
Waste of space when for a aircon regas waited for 45 minutes to be told one of my valves was leaking and would need a replacement.... I then had to wait 20 minutes whilst they took the gas back out.....Well Eclipse I took it to a aircon pipe specialist like you told me to and they looked at it and told me there was no issues at all and filled the gas up!! Now my aircon is working great with no issues!!!!
This garage recently carried out my service and mot which I can highly recommend. I then had a problem which I went back for and the staff were amazing and found the fault quickly. I can definitely recommend this garage.
Took my friend to have her car MOT'd. Very helpful, let us wait while the car was being done, gave us coffee, and not a bad price for the MOT, better than the government recommend price !
When I set off after getting my new tyres, there was a loud grinding noise from the front wheels. I immediately went back and the technicians inspected the car. They told me the wheels were difficult to turn and there must be a problem with the wheel bearings. They assured me it was nothing to do with them changing the tyres. I pointed out that it had passed its MOT only 2 weeks before and there was no noise when I drove to the garage. The technicians and manager had no explanation or suggestions what to do next. I insisted that they remove the wheels and check the wheel bearings. The brake disc spun easily with no noise, confirming my assertion that the wheel bearings were fine. I then noticed rubbing marks on the shock absorbers. On inspecting the wheels I realised that the technician had installed the wider rear tyres on the front hubs, causing the wheels to rub on the shock absorbers. The technicians drove my car twice, from the changing bay to the alignment and back. This was more than enough time to hear the grinding noise and realise there was a problem. They also had difficulties getting the alignment correct, which should also have caused them to think maybe something was wrong. They also initially fitted the tyres on the wrong sides so they were not in the correct direction of rotation and they didn't re-adjust the tyre pressures on one side, even though I reminded them three times. Wasting 3 hours of my time and waiting me to figure out the problem is unacceptable. Trying to convince me there was a wheel bearing problem without first checking their work is even worse.
