I am surprised their changing room is much bigger, newer and cleaner than Fotness First. Good on them. Love Aqua Arrobic class. Spacious and many types of sport to attend. I love it.
I’ve been coming here for an year now and to be very honest I love it! In terms of ambiance is fantastic, I see quiet a few regular faces at the time that I visit and the team is friendly and very supportive they had to cut my locker twice due to me loosing the key during training in terms of equipment is very well equipped and in great conditions.
Grim. Paint peeling off ceilings, unidentified particles floating in the warm water, mixed in with a strong whiff of toilet. This place really needs some investment or at least a deep clean . The pool itself is quite small and certainly too small for the large numbers of kids playing 'throw the ball at people's head game' in the shallow end. I will stick to the Porchester Centre in future.
I love this place and the vibe but unfortunately I had to cancel my membership when a new gym opened just 10 minutes away for the same price. Seymour gym needs to upgrade their equipment, it's old and it's starting to fall apart. If they upgrade the equipment, I would be back in a heartbeat.
Don't EVER go to the Spa there. Absolutely disgusting. Dirt everywhere from floor to ceiling. It smells horrific, there's mould all over the place. The steam room was broken you couldn't even walk in there. Locker doors ripped off random clothes lying around everywhere. This place needs to be shut and refurbished. It's a serious health hazard.
The spa was disgusting. Absolutely shameful ! The walls were dirty, infested with flies, mould from ceiling to walls, rust in the toilet, smells of damp, lockers were dirty, gritty and rusty inside, some lockers were broken, rubbish all over the place etc I took photos to show the staff. It was horrendous !!! The steam room was broken and therefore within 10 seconds you couldn’t breathe and nobody could remain in it, the sauna was also broken and way too hot causing burning sensations…nothing was functioning and for the amount of money we pay it should receive a full refurbishment or at the very least a proper clean up. We shall never return and all the ladies downstairs that we met shared the same sentiment - ridiculously disgusting ! Sort the place out !! Many of us pay £50 membership a month and for what ? This places is making a mockery of its clientele.
Basketball court is uneven and constantly dirty, especially after badminton. One of the rims is not straight. Nets are destroyed and not replaced. Plastic panels behind the baskets have some iron pieces sticking out. Very unsafe. Seems there is no maintenance and no reinvestment in the sports hall.
Extremely unpleasant staff on the ground and outdated facilities. Both my husband and I have annual membership all included and we find ourselves regularly accosted by discourteous staff on the ground. We only use the swimming pool which is 3 lanes out of 4 at all times almost exclusively reserved for private swimming lessons. The entire experience is very stressful and not worth the effort and membership fee.
The facilities are very nice and all the gym equipment are brand new. However, the climbing wall and Xen-Do are not included in the membership. The lowest they are willing to talk down a membership price for a student is £24.99, which i toniggt was great. For the most part, the place is mostly empty. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Decent amount of facilities, clean changing rooms, friendly and very helpful staff. The only downside is the spa bit which, considering the size of the complex, looks bit empty. The size of the spa is decent, however due to its simple design and very basic layout it looks simply unfinished. There is only one small steam-room and one dry sauna with plenty of empty space in the middle. So much potential... at least a cold water shower would be nice.
