So so much fun! To be honest, I didn’t have to interact with the staffs and didn’t eat any food. The drinks were great and the venue was big with lots of different table options. My friends and I had so much fun. We booked for 2 hours and the time just flew by. Definitely recommend to go with friends.
It's a really lovely venue. I'm not a snooker/pool expert, but I enjoy the occasional game with friends. I thought I'd feel self-conscious there, but it was such a relaxed atmosphere, and it didn't matter that I was rubbish to the professionals on the adjacent tables. The staff were all delightful, and the bar was very affordable. Will go back for sure.
Super friendly staff. You can book tables in advance, the drinks are standard prices for the area, the tables and cues are in perfect condition. There is also an electronic jukebox where for £1 you can queue 5 songs of your choice, or for £2 I believe it's 15 songs.
The drinks and the tables are ok although pints are quite expensive. I have noticed that some of the bartenders are very rude and are uneducated. One of them repeatedly swore at a customer recently and he is allegedly a team leader! He is also known for turning off the lights on Pool tables before the customers finish their games, much to their annoyance. He needs training. There seems to be no leadership or management looking at their behaviour and teenagers are apparently running this place! I am not against young people but these guys have no experience or customer service skills. There was a brilliant assistant manager running the place before and when he was working everyone behaved and they were scared to act like they do now but in their greater wisdom they got rid of him. The new manager seems like a good bloke but he seems to be rarely there during the night shift. I can't speak for all of the staff as I have found some of the more experienced bartenders here professional but this one 'Team Leader' was out of order recently and had ideas above his station. Another guy acts like a cross between Kevin the Teenager, Ali G and an LA gangster with his accent and in his behaviour. He never greets people or says hello or goodbye, I find him rude. He needs to grow up. The cleanliness here appears to be in decline and I have noticed mice and dirty toilets in recent times. Surprisingly the place is often empty, apart from the mice but at this rate even they will leave!
Well, I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but when I arrived I was met with hostility. The guy who told me he was the manager on duty refused my entry because his system couldn’t find me, despite my paid membership. My local is Colindale, and I didn’t have my card with me. He ridiculed me in front of other members, suggesting that I was fabricating my membership claims. I was on my own looking for a few frames for an hour, I pretty much begged - which I of course regret now! Pathetic system, and unbelievable that they can’t cross reference membership. It came down to him asking me “who is the manager of Colindale?” - I had no idea, nor should I have to. Always been good tables, but ignorant staff, and degrading behaviour. What a circus. I’ll never bother with Hurricane Rooms again. I was embarrassed and humiliated in front of other members. Real shame actually, as I’ve played here for years, I simply didn’t have my membership card on me, and they don’t have the ability to check. Awful service. You just lost a long term paying member that I used to recommend. Ah well, there’s other places. I even offered to pay a new membership fee- nope. What a clown. Very disappointed. Horrendous, rude and clueless staff. Sorry to see the service here just get worse and worse over the years, especially since big boss Mark left.
Rushed us on the tables after we’d already paid for 2 hours at £15 per hour and said we had to pay for more time to finish the end of our game. The worst bit is that half of the tables were empty!! Terrible music and the staff member in the beanie was very rude
Very bad smell between urine and old foot sweat. We waited in this ambience for one hour to get a pool table but the waiting list was even worse one hour later than when we came in, so we just left…before vomiting
Decent value of money and does the job. Rileys might be slightly better in terms of the overall quality of equipment but will come back again. The food choice and range could be expanded as it is currently only limited to pizza.
Friendly staff and atmosphere. We didn't wait for a table. They have nice bar and food.
The best pool and snooker venue in London. It can get busy but larger groups can book online in advance. Nice mixed crowd. You also get frequent sightings of the world's top players.
