Story

This is a family-based business offering unparalled levels of aftercare.

Established in 1947, serving the fashion industry, education and footwear sector.

We stock new and used industrial and domestic sewing machines.

Due to our extensive and firm belief in recycling, we also stock spare parts so we can cater for machines dating back up to 100 years old.

Our retail shop has an extensive range of Haberdashery, Wools & Crafts.

We have a fully equipped demonstration area for sewing machines & other products served by our knowledgeable staff.

"Please note, address supplied is NOT a shop and does not take personal callers. Servicing both domestic & industrial sewing machines. We collect & deliver at no extra cost to you.**We would like to add that we have never now or previously had any association with the child's plastic sewing machine with the words "Sew Amazing" on it**"

I’ve had my sewing machine a number of years and until recently, I’ve never had it serviced. It started to play up and chew the fabric so I decided to search for someone reliable to take a look at it. Naturally, I turned to Google and searched for sewing machine engineers near me, Sew Amazing came back as the first return. I read the reviews and decided to contact them. I am so pleased I did. They have certainly lived up to their name, and reputation. My sewing machine has been fully serviced and repaired, it’s working wonderfully again. Robb is very very knowledgeable and experienced, and the service they offer is brilliant. They even collected and delivered. Money well spent, I would definitely use again and I would recommend their services to anyone needing an experienced sewing machine engineer.
Rob and Mandy are just brilliant! They are professional and extremely knowledgeable about their craft. I had an industrial overlocker, flat machine and domestic machine all serviced and I couldn't have asked for better work. Rob explains everything that he does with great patience and knowledge. 100% would recommend.
Superb service. Friendly, informative, genuine and professional. I could not fault the service they provided to us.
What a brilliant shop. We went in to purchase a machine and the owner was wonderfully honest, welcoming and knew everything we could ever need to know. He sat patiently with my girlfriend and talked through and helped her test all the features. It’s the sort of place I’d love to come back all the time. We couldn’t recommend it more.
Robb collected, repaired and returned my Bernina within days. He is very knowledgeable in his field; A true craftsman who takes pride in his work and gives you a fair price. My Bernina came back better than ever. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.
Robb did a repair to an old Singer machine that I had bought. He collected and returned it within 24 hours, over the weekend, and it's now running like new. I can't recommend him too highly. He is a real engineer, passionate and knowledgeable about his subject, and his prices are very reasonable.
Took my sewing machine here to be serviced, and can wholeheartedly recommend this business to anyone. The owner, Rob, was happy to offer friendly advice, even when the shop was bustling. Good honest pricing, with reasonable fixed fees for servicing. Turnaround time was quick, even though they had a lot of machines to deal with. The shop also keeps a good stock of haberdashery items and other supplies. If you're looking for honest and cheerful service from an experienced professional, you won't be disappointed.
FIVE STAR, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable staff, the shop was lively and well stocked but the owner still gave me plenty of time whilst helping me select my new machine. They also gave me a free lesson on how to set it up and use it, so that I would feel confident when I got home. I would really recommend this shop if you need to buy a new - or previously loved - machine or have an old one serviced. Really cute display of much older machines, all working thanks to their careful servicing. As the cherry on top of this cake, they have lots of useful supplies like needless, threads, various haberdashery and a selection of yarn. Researching before buying, I emailed Sew Amazing and they were always very responsive and helpful by email. Thank you to Rob and your team for giving great service and valueable advice, I wanted to take the time to write a positive, thorough review to support this excellent local business and to let other people in the area know that this shop is a great resource if you love to sew.
