I was part of a 10 people group for my friend's birthday on Friday, Sept 13th: 1 The food was really bad and poorly cooked. The portion small and it is too expensive for what it is and how it is done. 2 we had been drinking cucumber infused water the whole evening only to find out there was a worm thriving on the cucumber. When I pointed it out to the waitress at the end of the night they only offered a mere 10% discount! please see pic attached 3 Bill: we couldn't figure why our bill was so high and we eventually come to the conclusion we were being overcharged so we went to the manager and found out that they added the bill of a whole other table to ours and if we didn't noticed, they would have just got away with £50 more. 4 There was no toilet - we had to use the public ones at the market which were super filthy I won't go back to this place for sure.
We had 2 portions of churros with chocolate... The portion was the tiniest I've seen, 2 little churros with a bit of chocolate and £3'50 each!!! The churros were like a sponge with lots of sugar and cinnamon. In the picture it looks quite bid but each churro was like a pinkie finger... Don't recommend this at all! Much better at CamdenTown!
Love this place. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty cocktails and delicious tapas. The owner there informed me that the key to Spanish food is simple: get good ingredients and don't overcook them. He couldn't be more right, they obviously take care in sourcing their produce and as a result the unpretentious tapas menu is brilliant. At £5 the cocktails are a snip for London and there is no skimping on the measures. Highly recommended!
Great cocktails, good imaginative specials. Tends to be very busy, but the upstairs space can be quieter. The tapas options to nibble upon while drinking their cocktails are first rate. Not a place to go if you want a quiet atmosphere, though.
Went for happy hour cocktails on Friday night. The decor and atmosphere is lovely but I wasn't that impressed by the drinks. I tried a couple of their signature cocktails but the Tequila Old Fashioned was pretty grim and the Whisky sour wasn't sour as much as just very, very bitter. I probably would recommend to a friend but would advise them to go for conventional cocktails and avoid the signature drinks
I actually wish I could give Seven a 3.5/5, but in the circumstances, a 4 will have to do! Have been here a few times - love that you can easily book, even for reasonably big groups, love the sharing plates - especially the calamari and the charcuterie, although I thought the chill and mint aubergine was very average. House cocktails are fun and all drinks are reasonably priced. Service is a bit hit and miss - some staff are very friendly and attentive and others are lax. Last night our blue cheese and fig salad was missing its blue cheese and it took about three attempts to get a replacement. Definitely would come back though - it's great for a pre-concert bite and drink.
This is such a great little place! The staff are just lovely! So friendly! Cocktails are delicious. We were too late to eat but will be back soon for sure! A must place to visit!
TOP TIP: Cocktail Happy Hour! Seven is such a lovely place to be. Looks worn and dark kinda like a secret dive. It easy to find in one of Brixton’s markets. Serves a great selection of tapas love everything except the olives because they add orange to them. Always good service. It’s a must do. Alsooooo they have more space upstairs that nobody seems to ever use. Recommend to reserve a table if there are more than two of you.
Food and cocktails were enjoyable, although serving size was a little on the small size. Thing that really let it down was service, there was one waitress for the whole place and she was really run off her feet understandably - service was slow and things were missed off our order
The drinks deal is good and the waiting staff are really nice. But our food came cold. Which was strange as it took over an hour to come. Also, in terms of quality of food the chorizo and spanish blood sausage are apparently fantastic but anything other than that especially for vegetarians on the breakfast menu is a little flavorless and sad.
