Amazing little gem of a site, 1 mile walk from Lands End and Sennan Cove. Toured Cornwall for 2 weeks and this was our favourite campsite by far. So peaceful and quiet and less commercialised than mainstream ones. Perfect quiet and clean outdoor pool, 100% recommend Nearby activities: Sennen Cove, Lands End
We had 3 caravans booked in our group. It was an absolutely brilliant holiday from start to finish. Seaview is in a beautiful quiet spot. We love that there is no organised entertainment as we like a sympathetically developed site. New staff team members Polly and Stephen were absolutely excellent - nothing was too much trouble. They definitely went the extra mile and always with a smile on their face. We have been coming here for years and the staff have made the transition to new ownership smooth and we feel that we have known the new team years already - Polly and Stephen are huge assets to the Seaview team. Sarah in central bookings was also so flexible and helpful. Fantastic and a big thanks to all the team! It was our second visit this year and we will be back next year!! THANKS AGAIN!
A friend booked a caravan here for a girls weekend away, and she booked on a whim, without checking reviews etc first. When we did look, we were worried!! The reviews were shocking, so we came along expecting the worst, but were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived during the check in window 4.30pm-6.30pm and the lady that greeted us was perfectly friendly. We had misunderstood the rules/deal when it came to bedding, so had brought linens expecting there to be quilts/pillows etc, but she told us that actually is was £12 a head for the bedding. However, very kindly, she gave us the bedding for free. The caravan itself, well, it's a caravan! It was a little old and tired, with a little bit of mildew here and there, but was clean and tidy. Basically, you get what you pay for...we paid £30 a night, for a weekend away...it's not going to the ritz! If you want sparkling and trendy accommodation, don't stay in a caravan park! We made our caravan homely with fairy lights and bunting and settled in for a lovely relaxing girls weekend. It was cold in the evenings, but essentially, you're staying in a reinforced tent...so again, what do you expect? Bring warm PJs and blankets and you'll be fine. We didn't explore the caravan park much itself, but it appeared we had it to ourselves! Location was great, about a 20 min walk down to Sennen Cove, couple of minutes walk to a CostCutter, fish and chip shop and pub, 10 min walk to Lands End and the SW coastal path. We did a walk from Lands End to Porthcurno, then caught the bus back, and can highly recommend it. On checking out the staff were again super friendly which surprised us after all the 'they're so rude' reviews, and gave our cash deposit back without having seen the caravan. Only lost 1 star for the dated/mildewy aspect of the caravan. Otherwise, a great, and cheap weekend!
Just back from a weeks stay, had a sun holiday here in 2015, enjoyed it then, so when we received an offer for a weeks holiday for 4 at a really good price decided to book direct. A small supplement to pay for 2 extra people. We had read the reviews previously, and indeed had visited the first time when the weather wasn't the best, but cannot understand why anyone would leave a negative review!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we cannot fault anything about SeaView. The two ladies in reception were friendly professional and extremely helpful. The site is well maintained. Our caravan the same one we had previously stayed in was clean, everything we needed was there, added bonus of a welcome pack with tea/coffee milk and sugar and cookies was a lovely touch! We used the pool 3 times, though cold couldn't keep the kids out of it. Kids played snooker, pool, crazy golf, the play area is well kept, kids thought it was fantastic. We used the launderette, reasonably priced and saved us lugging home a weeks worth of dirty washing. Within walking distance of stunning Lands End. The Costcutter in the village has just about everything you could want, including a post office! The chippy reasonably priced, and with so many places within half an hour and hours drive away, this place is a fantastic base. It's not a Haven site another reason we booked and some of the vans may be a bit dated, but we will definately be back next year!!! Six very satisfied customers
NEW OWNERSHIP CLEARLY EVIDENT We rented 2 lodges, the larger one was just perfect, easily accommodating 6 people, decorated and equipped to a high standard. The smaller lodge had a completely different vibe, more chalet like but still comfortable. The staff could not have been more attentive, any minor issues we encountered were rectified immediately. I would not hesitate in recommending the lodges, I also had a nose at a few of the larger, newer caravans and they looked fabulous, they were in the process of being steam cleaned throughout, upholstery included, a nice touch before reopening fully in May 2022. The children's play park is great with a variety of high quality equipment, and although we didn't play, the dinosaur mini golf looked like fun. As for location, it could not be better, minutes by car to both Sennen Cove and Lands End.
We accidentally booked this site thinking it was the haven one and it pretty much went downhill from there! The sassy replies received on the remainder of the reviews tells you exactly what kind of attitude you can expect to meet. It's run by a bunch of super old ladies who have nothing better to do with their days than have a few hours out of the house and be as rude and sharp as they like. The sun needs to remove this site from their holidays as it honestly made me consider using them again as it was so bad! I've read responses back from the owners about paying for a cheap holiday and what do you expect! You couldn't pay me to stay here again! They are old fashioned, charges for using your card? when I questioned this they said the bank charge them? You can tell they live at lands end they have no idea how the real world exists these days! No brochure told us there would be no services available only at the 6 weeks holiday until we arrived and I asked at the desk! We were there the week before summer holidays! The outdoor pool was closed and looked like it hadn't been used in years or cleaned, the park was run down and falling apart the slide looked unattached and unsafe! The soft play was closed the bowling alley was closed and they looked old and worn anyways! No evening entertainment on site or anywhere near! I asked about a near site to pay for passes or anywhere local that may have a soft play or disco?pool? Anything. Staff were unhelpful. Collected loads and loads of flyers in the reception for things on nearby. The caravan was decorated out of the 60s and the caravan was stinking! It smelt of gas to so we were nervous! The only good thing about this campsite is that it is very close to the beach, and a lovely seafood restaurant underneath a surfing hostel! They guys there were amazing and couldn't be more helpful! Really cool atmosphere! We had a 4 year old and we had to travel an hour but we went to the nearby zoo in Newquay which was amazing! Kids loved that had a fab day! And we also went to the aquarium! Another fab day! Then we went to a nearby camp a parkdean I think that had an awesome pool and slides and then also a soft play so we stayed there for the day went for food made a day of it! The area is lovely if you don't mind driving to things nearby but the site just needs closing down. Please don't reply with a rude comment I have no interest in your reply I just want other families to know what to expect so they are not disappointed. I read all these reviews and hoped for the best so wasn't as shocked but still it was a shambles. Please do yourself and others a favour and sell up! Let someone younger and more business orientated revamp this site and make it special
Absolutely perfect. I was lucky enough to have a family that wanted their son to tag along. I’ve been all over the world but every box you could want in a holiday was ticked. Lovely staff, helpful, accommodating and Forest the local pup was a highlight too. Thankyou for the stay, sorry for the late review, you’ll hopefully be seeing us in the new year. P.s they even had a tea strainer
Lovely spotlessly clean quiet campsite, with static caravans, cabins ,electric hook up pitches . Swimming pool and children's play area. Absolutely ideal position for exploring lands end, Porthcurno and Sennan without the need to drive as is right on the coastal bus service.close to the First and Last pub .Can't fault it at all. We will book again in an instant
We are currently staying here in one of the caravans on a sun holiday. We were really concerned about the others reviews and were expecting the worst, however it has been the most beautiful stay we've had in West Cornwall. The park is quiet and tranquil. The caravan we have is great and fairly modern with enough space for my wife and I plus a crazy toddler and teenager. We've have not encountered any rudeness from anyone. The bistro is great and the facilities are great for the family with a children's play area and crazy golf for me! The pool was an added bonus. It's close to Sennen Cove and great place to head off from to local sights. I will definitely stay here again and even thinking of investing in a caravan as a holiday home due to this trip.
Upon reading the reviews of this park before our holiday, my fiancé and I were a little worried our sun holiday would be ruined. However we were pleasantly surprised! The holiday park is kept very nicely and our chalet was just as expected. We stayed in number 18, It looked pretty much the same as i remember them as a child in the 90s, so of course the sofa was a little worn in places and some of the furniture is a little dated but that's to be expected! It was clean and everything was in working order. The bed was very comfortable, the boiler worked fine we had lots of hot water and it was lovely to have the little blue picnic bench outside to sit on. The staff we met were all polite, helpful and friendly. The only small thing that let it down was that when I headed to reception to buy pool passes at about 10:30 on Thursday, reception was unfortunately closed so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor pool which looked lovely, especially on a hot summers day. Other than that we had a great time!
