This place is so peaceful, beautiful, well kept and a hidden gem. Arrived to be greeted by friendly staff, the Lodge was up to date and very clean. We got the Larch Lodge Plus. A 6 bed Lodge. The hot tub was amazing in the morning and at night for a bit of relaxing and star gazing. Kitchen was top spec with dishwasher grill oven etc. Lovely open plan design with plenty of windows and light. Nice decking area. It was a dream for the wife who was very happy. Surroundings are lovely and everyone is really respectful of each other meaning that there is hardly any noise from children at night. Would definitely return and we are planning to do so in the future. River Valley is also in a great location. Penzance is nearby with three supermarkets, St Ives 20 minutes away, with Lands End, Marazion, St Michaels Mount, Newquay, The Lizard, Sennen Cove and Porthcurno under an hour away. Give it a go, you'll not be disappointed !!
We stayed here for a week. Lovely site. Very quiet. Lots of privately owned caravans and lodges with a small number to hire. We stayed in the Kingfisher caravan. We had a great spot with sun coming up in early morning. Caravan was very cosy, comfortable and very clean. There is no outdoor furniture but we were aware of this so took our own chairs. We also took our own duvet covers and towels, although linen packs are available. Wifi is definitely poor as was phone signal. We had to be outside to get any kind of signal. This wasn't a problem for us though as sometimes it is nice to get away from the reception . And the park is very clear regarding the wifi strength/use. The location of the campsite is great. About half an hour from Sennan cove and the Lizard. It's about 2 miles up the road to the local pubs. Not far from Marazion, Penzance or Helston. We had received an email from Surf Bay holidays prior to our arrival stating that we should not arrive before 5pm unless phoned before hand and that late check in was after 7pm. So we had an afternoon in Penzance. Unfortunately there seemed to be conflicting information as late check in was after 5pm. Had we known this we probably would have arrived earlier and headed out after. The late check in procedure was really easy though. Keys were left in a safe box complete with a map of the park. We had a lovely stay here. I have only marked it 4 stars due to the miscommunication from the head office.
I have stayed here a number of times over the past few years, and I spent a week there this June. Absolutely beautiful place, so peaceful and relaxed, positioned next to the river Hayle more like a stream and woodlands you feel at one with nature with the array of wildlife, not much to do for the kids, no park and they are strict on the use of skateboards, scooters and bicycles etc, it is unspoilt and peaceful and that is it's beauty. Most of the caravans are new or nearly new and superbly equipped and maintained, there are lodges for hire, most with hot-tubs, there is a choice of accommodation, pet friendly or pet free, my daughter and her family stayed in one of these and was very impressed, there is also a touring site with electric hook-ups There are facilities for doing your laundry on site and the reception also sells basic provisions. Well I have just booked to go again in October . . . can't wait!
Beautiful and tranquil, If your looking for somewhere that's quiet and very peaceful then this Is your place. Staff very welcoming and very friendly. When we first entered the caravan we were a bit let down because it wasn't clean, sand on the floor and on the carpet both in the living room and the bedroom and bathroom. Thick dust on the coffee table, dust webs all over the bedroom walls, but apart from that everything that you expect to find in a caravan we found in ours., The welcoming cleaning pack was very handy.... All in all a great holiday....
What a perfect setting, so beautiful by the River Hayle . The park seems well organised, well kept driveways and good parking area by your caravan/Lodge. The staff are helpful. We had the Serenity caravan, Green 6 which is privately owned by amazing host Jo and let through Airbnb. The caravan and fenced balcony overlooking the river were perfectly prepared with much thought and charm. There was a superb welcome basket with a selection of goodies, including essentials like bread and milk. It was very clean and Jo has thought of anything you might need. She has also given her caravan character with beautiful pictures and little ornaments. We spent time on two local beaches , Mexico Towans at Hayle and Porthcurno near Landsend, the former is just huge, an expanse of white sand and great for dogs. Porthcurno is smaller but stunning dogs not allowed 1/7 to 31/8 . The Park is so quiet and the river walk is a delight for people and dogs. We will definitely be going back there is so much more to see in the area. It is truly a gem!
Gold 10 static caravan holidays in cornwall The site is beautiful and very well kept. The caravan is privately owned,so the review is only relevant for the gold 10. It was lovely but definitely overpriced. The shower was dirty and the kitchen floor very sticky. The flush in the bathroom did not work properly. The roof is thin metal/plastic so rain and various animals on the roof keeps you awake. The curtains in the bedroom are not blackout curtains,so on a sunny day you better be awake by the sunrise. No freezer available despote being listed in the description. The kitchen is well equipped but again some cups were dirty. I did not dare using couple of pans/pot as the coating was peeling off.Bed linen provided. No towel/kitchen towel provided expected, as not listed The check in process was easy and the location convenient
Well looked after and very clean.Rooms: 5/5
My wife and I have been visiting here for almost 8 years, my wife even more so, and everytime we have been we have been greeted with friendly, polite staff. This obviously rubs off on the visitors as we are always surrounded by great guests too. The area is always clean and tidy and if there is a problem, it's dealt with in a timely, efficient manor. There's a laundrette on site and a small shop if you have forgotten any necessities. Penzance is only a 10-15min drive away which has all the amenities you need for anything else. There are several beaches a shorter distance away for those that like to chill out in the sun. Plenty to see and do when the weather is not great all within a short drive.
Spent a week here in a mobile home in the autumn. This park is out in the country, a short drive from Marazion, and is very peaceful, with an abundance of wildlife. The homes are well-spaced, with parking, and there are lots of trees and greenery. There are walks and plenty of routes for cycling, with a small store on the premises. We enjoyed staying here and would love to return.
Beautiful caravan park in the countryside in Cornwall. Very peaceful yet in a place where you can access plenty to do in a short drive. Lovely clean static van with plenty of space for 2 adults and a teenager. The only 2 things that lost one star were that the WiFi signal was really poor on site and without a phone signal too this was a problem. The other thing was that the website stated that the van we stayed in kingfisher had a dvd player but when we arrived we found that there wasn't one. Still recommend as it is a very tranquil park, perfect for relaxing!
