Seagull Cottage is located in a fabulous location, walk out of the front door and your literally on the small beach in front of the little harbour, which also includes the waterfront pub. Directly behind the cottage across the road you will find the Bassett arms, this was our pub of choice, very friendly, good food and drink and the locals are very welcoming. The cottage is very comfortable and boasts all needs for a perfect stay. Two issues we found with the property, car parking is a small garage attached to the cottage, this will accomodate a standard sized hatchback car, anything bigger will need to be parked on the beach road, Portreath is a busy area and even off peak it is difficult to find parking, alternatively parking is available in the main car park 1 minute walk away, but it does cost £10 per day. The other issue is the small fridge in the cottage, for a family of 6 it is far too small, we made the mistake of having a weeks worth of food delivered by tesco. Parking and fridge aside, this is a wonderful holiday escape and when the sun shines it is fabulous.
