One of my favourite spots for dinner in London. Friend had birthday dinner here and as there were more than 8 of us we had the sharing menu - snacks, starters, mains and desserts. Forgot to take photos - so stole some from friends! The food was delicious - especially the cheese croquettes snacks, roast chicken main and lemon meringue pie!
Dog friendly restaurant and so booked it. And my fur baby was given water bowl Straight away. We selected smoked salmon for my first baby which she enjoyed. Seabass with lemon and samphire and capers was melt in your mouth. Mussels tikka masala was surprisingly delicious. Kids menu was good too. Staff friendly and good atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: My fur baby was welcomed
Found this place by chance, first thing you need to know is, it is part of a hotel which will help you find it. As you enter the hotel itself is beautiful downstairs, with a ship/sea theme. When we arrived the staff were friendly and the restaurant is more on the high end. The menu isn’t huge but a good mix of meat, fish and veg. Sadly they had some issue with the order as their system went down, we waited a very long time and these things do happen but no one told us. Eventually we flagged someone down, and she explained the issue and offered us drinks and took care of us the stunning lady who looks like Lucy Lu, I wish I knew your name, she was absolutely amazing with her service and hence why I have given it a 4 on service. She went out of her to make sure we were ok and just was wonderful. The starters here was amazing, can’t not recommend the ceviche tacos enough! I’d just come back for those! The main dish are actually quite big, the halibut was served beautifully but for me personally I wish the sauce had a bit more kick but recommend the Mac and cheese side. Definitely would come back if I fancy some fish, I’m coming back for the whole sea bass and next time I will try to come during summer as restaurant is sitting on the Thames. Great place for date night.
Great service and stunning city views. However, I am giving only 3 stars for the cuisine because the fish was somewhat overcooked and lacked flavor.Food: 3/5
Food , I had the cheeseburger, was very nice. Only had a coke and a coffee but seem to have a number of cocktails and largers. Location is very good. Sweet menu wording was a bit ambiguous, so I left it alone.Service is good and they didn't rush us. The only reservation is 13.5% service charge, which is discretionary, but felt was a bit steep.
This is another riverside restaurant with fantastic views and some inventive food. Not economy, but worth it. Nice wines by the glass too. Mod posh decor. The set up of the restaurant is such that you can be inside and still feel outside along the open walls, which is nice when the sun is low and might be bothersome outside. Service was a little confused and slow to check in, but it didn't spoil our experience.
Had the time out deal of £30 with three courses and a cocktail. The deal was above expectations as my initial understanding was you choose a dish from each course but in fact all three starters and main arrive. Cocktails was absolutely excellent. Service was ok- a large space to cover so was a bit slow due to the large table of 14 next to us. Ambience very nice. Food was excellent. The starters were light and tasteful such as the salad , the tomato and burrata and the salmon with crispy bread. Mains again very good: steak, fish and pasta with mushrooms. Huge portions. Highly recommended , excellent value for money.
We ate here for a team dinner, food was fantastic, wine choice was comprehensive, but what made the experience was the service, in particular Angela, who went above and beyond to accommodate specific requests, ensure all dietary requirements were catered for and continuously made us feel looked after. She was attentive and accessible serving us with respect and a smile. Thank you Angela!
Very nice service, good quality food, and a great location. We had a 3-course sharing menu, with pot-roast beef especially worth recommending. Nice desserts too.Food: 5/5
We loved every minute and every aspect of Sea Containers. We were greeted by the members of staff politely and guided to the restaurant. We were walked to our table almost immediately and had our drinks order taken. Food were totally delicious, well presented and very good portion for the price. We love the ambience of the restaurant too. Staff are friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco, which was put slightly away from us but the lady ensure our glasses are never empty. Foods arrived pretty quick and we didn't have to wait for long despite it was a busy Saturday night. We'll definitely come back with some friends and for future birthday & other celebrations. On a side note, we also went upstairs to 12th Knot which is really nice with an amazing view. Thank you Sea Containers for the superb quality of hospitality and food/drinks which is quite rare in big cities these days.
