Great afternoon tea for my friends birthday. Lovely setting, food & coffee were amazing. Staff were very friendly and made sure we had a lovely afternoon.

Scrumptious used to be the place we always insisted on visiting as a family, as they cater well for small children, and offer a good selection of light bites. Unfortunately, as time goes on, standards seem to be slipping. Our most recent visit was most disappointing. We had to remind the staff of our order, and waited 10 minutes for some milk for our coffee. When the food arrived (dishes at different times), it was bland, and a little uninspiring. I know we all have off days, but it seems to be increasingly common.

The food is delicious and the staff are lovely. My mum and I ordered the pop-up afternoon tea. Nice sandwiches to choose from and there is a gluten free option which means my mum could enjoy an impromptu afternoon tea!! Beware of the old couple on Sundays at 14:00 who appear to always have the corner table reserved. If they can't get to "their table", they will make other peoples time in the shop unbearable. It happened to us and we definately will not be visiting again at this time. Totally ruined a wonderful afternoon with my mum. The staff are very appologetic but they shouldn't have to be.
