I visited the Screwfix in Temple Fortune on Friday, early afternoon, when the store was extremely busy and I was feeling very stressed and anxious. I have to say, the team there completely changed my day.nnI was served by Bilal one of the duty managers, and he was exceptional. Even with a big queue and a lot happening, he stayed calm, patient, and genuinely kind. I wasn’t the easiest customer to deal with because I had a lot going on personally, but he treated me with real professionalism throughout.nnI also couldn’t get the in-store tablets to work to place my order, and despite how busy he was, Bilal stepped in and handled everything for me without hesitation. On top of that, he sorted out a complicated problem with my account — I actually had two Screwfix accounts by mistake, one with an incorrectly triggered refund and one with all the items I needed to purchase. He fixed the whole thing twice, without rushing me or showing a hint of frustration. That level of patience is rare.nnI normally use Toolstation, and have done for years, but after the service I received on Friday, I’ll be using Screwfix from now on — and specifically this branch. The customer service here is how it should be done.nnThank you to Bilal and the whole team — you genuinely made a difference.
One time I wanted to buy a HDMI cable in a rush. Was pressured to buy the golden plated one. Only to find out it is does the same thing as the normal one lol. They’ll take advantage of you if you’re a female. Won’t recommend going unless you’re a guy or someone that knows what you’re doing
Normally the service at Temple Fortune Screwfix is solid, but our recent experience on Monday 20th with a high-end shower system was shockingly poor. We ordered a premium unit, only to find the pipe scratched and bobbly when we got home. When we returned it for an exchange, the customer service was abysmal—I've genuinely never experienced anything like it.nI was made to feel like the issue was mine, not the product’s. Staff insisted all pipes would be like that, implying I was returning it because I’d changed my mind rather than due to a fault. When I asked if they could keep the replacement in store until the next day so I could compare since they were adamant it would be the same, I was told they didn’t have space and it would be sent back immediately. Apparently, my time and travel costs weren’t worth considering.nOne staff member suggested the “solution” was to buy another shower system—another £700! The next day, we collected the replacement and surprise: the pipe was flawless. No bubbling, no scratches. So much for “they’re all like that.” I also noticed scratches on the shower head and asked if the original system was still in store to swap it out. It was—despite being told it would be gone!!!nIf you’re shopping for high-end or quality products, I’d avoid this branch. The service simply doesn’t match the price point or expectations.
