Had a great conference held at this place. Loved the whole campus. Very spacious and close to scot-rail connection. There us a nice walking trail. The sunset is beautiful. Highly recommend.
Went to the big thank you tour. Was fantastic. Toilets at venue were spotless, security staff were helpful. Minor complaint is there was nowhere for smokers to extinguish there cigarettes before entering the venue. Leaving several people just discarding them near the entrance.
I attended the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party conference. Thursday night reception. Thereafter, a 2 day conference. Conference aside, the staff were jolly and welcoming, even though those attending were Tories, not the most popular beast in Scotland. The catering was excellent. VG for mass catering, tasty too. Sometimes the service was stretched, but overall better than most.
Visited for a conference - modern, clean space. good-sized rooms. Technology all worked. Set in a centre with coffee shops etc too. I liked the upstairs which had breakout spaces and charging points. Handy train station nearby to city centre.
We stayed here in the Hotel while we attended a family birthday party. What a fantastic set of buildings. I need to return and go to an event here, it looks fantastic, and the area is buzzing.
Was in the hydro for the world's collide tour with within temptation and evanescence. The venues acoustics where great but had a bassy/tinny sound with the main sound hall and viability of the main stage wasn't that great from the seats. Ideally there should have been monitors setup for the covers so everyone could enjoy what was happening on stage. Prices are reasonable for an event venue. Nothing to write home about
I had a really nice evening at the Hydro. I had a pizza in the lounge before the show, unfortunately they my original one to the wrong people so they had to order a new one and I didn't have time to finish it. The layout makes it easy to find your seats in the hall, and there was plenty of staff around if we needed help. They still have plenty of sanitising stations too and have increased the ventilation, so you do feel quite safe. The sound was great, and most of the lighting was too. The taxi queues are always really long so I chose to walk to Paisley road west because it was a nice evening. There are decent public transport links, and good carparks close by. Looking forward to the next event I have tickets for in January.
Its a beautiful venue to have concert. We enjoyed Diljit Dosanjh concert here. It was mesmerizing. Very close to at walking distance from various hotels. Staff was nice and friendly. Even though it was hard to control them on pangra songs! Lighting and sound arrangements were great. Stage should have been little bigger or at some height!
Been here a few times, most recently to see James Blunt. Lovely event space, not crowded and good lighting and sound. Sometimes venues can be really loud, not a good sound balance but it's really enjoyable here. The staff are so lovely and patient, helping us to get to our seats when we got lost. Easy to see where you're going, seats are labelled clearly too highlighted at the end of the rows Drink not too badly priced and wee snacks hotdogs and crisps/chocolate
Brilliant meal here. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was soooo tasty. I had the tandoori salmon which I'll have the next time, as we will definitely be back. Can't recommend highly enough.
