This is so good. I always enjoy looking into google maps to see any hidden good places and I found this place! I was just expecting here as a normal hidden Italian restaurant but this place is a decent place indeed. Pizza is good and I still cannot forget how amazing their pasta was. Love their cute menu for pasta and tiramisu as well. Definitely will revisit here soon to try different menu!
Finally found my Roman pizza spot in London! If you’re tired of all the napolitain pizzas out there and want one of the most traditional and authentic pizzas then look no more. The outdoor seating and the overall neighbourhood pizzeria vibe is just a plus.
This deli/restaurant is a little jewel. If you are looking for authentic Italian food and atmosphere, look no more . I do strongly recommend to try their pasta and tiramisù. We had also their mixed starter and pizzas and everything was delicious.Food: 5/5
If you're looking for an authentic Italian place around Islington, this is the spot. "Just half of the menu card was real food, great presentation". Food was really great and reminded me of my travels in Italy and the local food quality. If you're able to get table here, you'll not regret the visit. If you love Italian food you need to try this genuine spot run by Italian people. Besides you can order food here, you are also able to buy some imported Italian products in here. Great concept, great restaurant. If I would be able, I would come every day.

We always enjoy going here. It was much quieter than any previous visits but I don’t know why. We spoke Italian with the main guy and that staff looked after us. Tasty antipasto and then pasta plates. Def will return but would like to see it busier.Food: 4/5
Can’t believe I waited this long to visit Saponara, an islington local favourite for amazing Italian food. The place looks like and probably also serves as a deli with some indoor and outdoor tables, it’s casual, authentic but also well looked after. Tortellonis are to die for, with a great selection of different fillings and sauces. The pizza is so delicious too. They had run out of Tiramisu so will try that next time, but the affogato was a good compromise for the time being! Good Italian wine selection too. The prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended for a nice meal!
Very cosy and intimate restaurant in the residential area of Angel. Staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We didn't have to wait long and I didn't realise my pizza had rocket, which I usually don't like. But even though there was a lot of it, the flavour was very subtle and worked so well with the Parma ham that I'm rethinking my aversion to rocket and what I've missed out on in life so far Tiramisu was filling and indulgent and didn't skimp on the brandy. I'm used to the cream being a bit thicker so this was lighter than I'd love but it was still delicious and if the cream was thicker, I probably wouldn't have been able to finish it. Definitely coming back to get the Saponara pizza as I tried a bit and it was amazing. Also the owner I think saw how my GF left her crusts and found it so funny he took a picture of it
One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. I will recommend the ravioli option to be more precise. We called the restaurant 30 minutes before the arrival and thry were happy to assist us. I will definitely come backFood: 5/5
