Very nice place, with hot showers, toilets and dish washing area. With a beach within 5 mins of walking, it is a great place for camping
Really close to the beach, good showers and toilets. No hot water for washing dishes and no electric hookups. Phones can be charged at the office and ice blocks frozen. Dog-friendliness: Two dogs per pitch allowed.
Stayed at Sandy Acres last week. It was OK. I felt the toilets and showers should have been cleaned more regularly. The showers were also not very powerful not ideal for when you come out the sea. The toilets and showers were the only facilities, which is fine but felt they should have been cleaner. The shop at reception wasn't well stocked and you are not near any shops within walking distance. My children did surf school which they loved and the beach is stunning but it is a bit of a trek to and from the beach.
We have just spent a week here and loved it. Great location and really good sized pitches. Lovely and peaceful too. Clean toilets and showers and loved the ‘no frills’ approach. I also discovered the delicious vegan ice cream in the on site shop. Yummy!
Great location, close to the beach. Amazing sunsets and long walks right up to St Ives. Staff are helpful and always happy to help. No electrical feeds, but there is a chest freezer in the main office for all to use and staff are happy to pop any battery packs on charge for phones etc staff in between 10am and 8pm. Facilities are clean, showers are hot. Minus 2 stars: - showers are not very powerful; hard to wash off sand and salty water from your hair after day at the sea - the shop at reception wasn't well stocked and you are not near any shops within walking distance - the road leading to the campsite is horrendous - washing up area only with cold water Very basic campsite if that's what you are after :
We just loved this campsite, so different from others! Small, intimate, right next to the beach and surrounded by the beautiful nature!
Fantastic site, amazing location. Staff are brilliant and so happy to help, nothing is too much. Beautiful sunsets while standing one the dunes too! Facilities are clean and although they are not power showers, they are hot and get the job done. No electrical feeds, but there is a chest freezer in the main office for all to use and staff are happy to pop any battery packs on charge for phones etc… Five minute walk to the beach with a cafe en route and surf shack for hiring boards and Bumpy drive to the site but that’s all there was to have a very minor whinge about. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back again.
Very quiet, spacious pitches with leads on all sites. Very close to the beach, although the path is not suitable for everyone. Cleanliness is conspicuous by its absence, it is the only thing we did not like.There was no toilet paper, hand soap and sanitizer. Of the 4 days of stay they only cleaned two days. The price is quite expensive not to have the minimum of hygiene.The access road is horrible, full of holes and stones. Not good for cars.
I used the parking at here not the campsite and they are really there to screw you over. I used the just park app to book my parking. I was about ten minutes late to extend my booking for further two hours. When I get back to the car in the evening, I had received a fine two minutes after the ending of my booking. It clearly shows they are there waiting to fine you a second later after your booking. I called the costumer service and talked to them but they were so un helpful. Given how they have designed the system to screw you over, no wonder why there is no mention if their parking on the google map: they would receive such bad reviews that no one would park there ever!
Beautiful natural campsite. We hired an Ysella bell tent for the week, which was pitch and furnished for our arrival. Absolutely brilliant service and great location! Camping made easy!
