We are specialists in high quality dust free wood-floor sanding, renovation and finishing. Since we started over twenty years ago we have gained unique experience in sanding and restoring all kinds of floors from art galleries to private houses.
Our eco-friendly finishes include water based lacquers, stains, oils and Scandinavian floor whitening treatments.

Julian was amazing - not only did he completely transform our room with a beautiful floor but was professional, knowledgeable, diligent and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, whilst also being flexible for our schedules which was much appreciated. We're so happy with the result and can't believe it's the same floor! We would 100% recommend.

Julian is extremely helpful. He gave me detailed and expert advice on achieving a good finish in our case with Osmo Raw on our floors when he really didn't have to. It is obvious he has an incredible eye for detail and excellent aesthetic taste, which isn't always the case with floor restorers and sanders.
Julian is an artisan of wood. I was stunned at the transformation that my 25 year old oak floors underwent under his stewardship. He sanded away every stain, mark and pit and after the white lye and oil treatment it looked like I'd laid new floors. Julian and his colleague Colin were careful, detailed and have really good equipment which mean I didn't have a flat full of dust to deal with after they'd left. I am absolutely thrilled with the results - wish I had done this years earlier!
Julian and Alon did a fantastic job last year, the finish was beautiful a soft Scandinavian lye and they knew exactly the look and feel we were going for thank you for dealing with how picky we were!. Absolutely worth every penny, when people come round the floors are the first thing they notice.
As per all the other reviews, I'm absolutely delighted with Julian's service and quality of workmanship. He painstakingly repaired and restored a badly beaten up floor in a public building, which now looks fantastic and should hopefully last us another 50 years. Thank you so much Julian!
We are totally delighted with the amazing job Julian has done on our maple floors. They are like new again and each night when we came home from work we could see the change unravelling. We had the hallway, kitchen and large living room done and the difference they make is staggering. The house was always left really tidy and clean at the end of each day and I was amazed at the lack of dust everywhere which was a huge bonus. Julian explained the whole process to us very clearly prior to the work being done and the cost was exactly as he said it would be - no hidden extras. He also gave us lots of information about how to look after the floors and where to buy the best products for them. He was able to fit into our work schedule and was always punctual and very trustworthy. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Julian and his team and will definitely use them again when we get some of our upstairs floors done. Moving the heavy furniture outside for us was a great help and when my husband and I realised we needed help getting the heavy stuff back in again, he was only too willing to come back and help us with that. Julian is passionate about all things wooden and he took a real pride in seeing the floors being brought back to life! An amazing transformation - Thanks Julian!
Julian refinished the Dinesen floor in our new house and did a fantastic job, we are really happy with how the floor came out. Julian and his team are real professionals, provided fantastic communication throughout and used some top quality oils. We are looking forward to enjoying our floors for years to come. I would definitely recommend Sandman to anyone needing their floor refinishing!

Julian treated my floorboards with a lye and did so with great care and skill. He is diligent and was the only person I spoke to who really understood this type of finish and taking out the orange from pine without using a varnish and lacquer.
