After doing so much research, I decided to go with Flooring First to replace my old laminated flooring with new engineered wood flooring including new skirting boards. These guys did an amazing job and were able to start immediately. I received outstanding customer service from Dimitri at the showroom who helped me choose the right flooring as well as Halil and George who worked so hard to install it. I am not an easy customer and these guys went above and beyond to ensure that the job met my standards. I went for natural oak lacquered engineered wood and my new floor is stunning. Flooring first were very professional from the first email to finishing up the floor. You can see the change from the before pics and after pics. The previous builders were unable to put the floor back and lost some of the parquet tiles, and flooring first were able to fix where they had opened the floor and provide new tiles. The floor isn't even but it's fine! There's no longer a big hole. Would definitely ask them to come again when the floor needs updating.

I would strongly recommend against using this company. The customer service is terrible. My experience with them has been very stressful and upsetting. They quoted to install a floating floor in my home that needed to match an existing floating floor. I provided them the spec's from my home builder and they measured and took photos to ensure a match. The flooring they supplied turned out to be the wrong size, and not a match. It looks terrible and they refused to replace or provide any assistance for their mistake.

We had our engineered wood flooring sanded and stained by the flooringfirst team. The sanding was good and clean until the bag broke and to save time they just kept sanding with sawdust filling the house. The floor finish is not smooth in all areas and the stain is patchy in others. The skirting boards have stains on them and the floor looks incomplete and patchy. I expected better from a contractor that had such good reviews. Ensure you get everything that is mentioned in the site visit when they are quoting for the work in writing as not everything we discussed was detailed in the quote and therefore not completed even though he agreed at the site visit. I would also recommend using oil stain versus the water based stain. Junckers Commercial HP lacquer was stated in the quote but another product was used onsite "to speed up the job". We had several "short days" and timing was not their speciality - a three day job took five days. Around the edges and to touch it's just not that smooth - I expect a floor to be vacuumed prior to the lacquer applied. Things promised onsite were never delivered. There is a lot of room for improvement in their service and the quality of what they deliver. Sub-contractors are OK but it's not the branded team you see on the website and the finished product is not great.

We had Flooring First come and remove all our old downstairs floorboards, lay underfloor rockwool insulation and re-board with solid oak planks. The staff Ahmed and Stef were very friendly, prompt, accurate, flexible, knowledgeable, and helpful. I had many tradies in over a month-long refurb and they were by far the best. The workmanship was perfect - they comfortably dealt with all the little nuances and old house can come with round bay windows, interesting joist spacing and placements, irregular wall shapes, walls suspended between joists. They were also super efficient - completing the job well ahead of schedule, and respectful of any small wishes I had, and working around me helping move furniture back and forth, etc. They had my safety and the finished product quality in mind at all times. They even helped me troubleshoot carpentry questions I had in other areas of the house not related to the job. I could not recommend them enough - the only shame is that I probably have no further need for them because of the amazing job they did! They even returned late one evening to re-nail a single board that creaked a bit near the stairs which was not down to them, it was down the joist placement and movement The price was excellent as well. The entire job was cheaper than refurbishing a 1930's floor not including the flooring timber - which is the customer's choice as to what type they would buy
