Based in an iconic Old Street landmark studio for over 25 years, Renaissance has built a unique reputation as one of the foremost dealers, restorers and experts in antique fireplaces, specialising in English marble fireplaces, French and Italian stone fireplaces and other fine architectural pieces in London.

Without doubt our passion is fireplaces - there isn't much we don't know about them. All our stock is carefully sourced from around Europe - anything from the 16th Century to the present day, Queen Anne to Victorian, fireplaces, chandeliers, one-off pieces bespoke or reproduction.

Renaissance also accept commissions for bespoke and reproduction fireplaces and do a complete restoration and fitting service including the supply and installation of fine quality wood flooring.

Great building in a good location. Lots of storage available in units, as well as additional storage available in the parking garage. Building managers are friendly and quick to solve any issues. The lobby is always clean and welcoming. Brian is an amazing manager who has really made the experience so great. He is very friendly and is seemingly always around whenever you need him! It's a very nice feeling to have building management that you can rely on.
My partner and I absolutely loved our experience living in the Renaissance. The management Brain, Jenny, and Rachel when she was there were always incredibly kind and responsive. They truly made themselves available whenever we needed them. The amenities were always clean and cared for. The building's quality was also top-notch. We've lived in several apartments of various price ranges beforehand and never had the same high quality as we did at the Renaissance. It truly felt like luxury living. It was the best rental experience we’ve ever had, and if we we return to London, we’d live in the Renaissance in a heartbeat. 10/10 would recommend.
I’ve lived in many apartments before this one and this one blew them out of the water. Honestly it’s very luxurious and the terrace is gorgeous. But I’m leaving a review today because I wanted to talk about what a great landlord tricar has working for them. Brian is a great representative for this company and is absolutely wonderful. He is on his game, efficient, organized and very polite. After meeting Brian and him being so confident in the building and what they have to offer...it didn’t take me long to sign the lease. I was going through a separation at the time and there was urgency to move in quickly and efficiently, and he was so great to deal with. It was a rough time but his calm kind demeanour was awesome. No matter how busy he gets he doesn’t forget you, and he’s quick to help you resolve any issues or questions you may have. Shortly after I referred my friend and her boy friend and Brian helped them out too...they now live a few floors down. Brian knows how to get you what you want and make sure you’re getting what you pay for. My roommate and I are more than pleased with Brian and his mannerisms. We will always recommend people to meet Brian if they are searching for a nice apartment. If all my staff at my business worked like Brian...there would be 0 problems ever in our establishment. I have now lived at The Renaissance for more than 2 years. The building management has been incredibly accommodating and helpful. Rachel and Brian work great as a team to resolve any issues that arise. I have read some of the negative reviews and feel that the reviews seem to be of a personal attack. Then how our building is managed, the upkeep, and living environment is kept at an outstanding level. For that I thank the management.
The current property management team is excellent. This is a very comfortable, nicely-appointed building in a great location. Neighbours are quiet and respectful. Good atmosphere.
Have been living here for almost 3 years and have loved it since day one. Building Management is great & efficient..not to mention my dog looks forward to seeing Rachel for her "post-walk treats". Location is perfect as it's within walking distance to some great amenities market, park, restaurants and bars. The building itself is quiet and well cared for.
Unfortunately we have had a horrible experience living here. As soon as the building went up I dreamed of living in the renaissance. Since I moved in there has been numerous occurrences. The first summer the AC broke and we were without air for two months. The next summer there was a huge flood and the whole building was shut down for months, including the elevators. Now it is my third summer here and the ac is not on the middle of a heat wave. I have complained about smoke on my floor multiple times, which turned out to be the former building manager smoking in their unit. I have asthma and old dogs and we are tortured in the heat for the next few days. Absolutely shameful. I normally do not write reviews but I’ve had enough and now my health is in jeopardy. Please help your tenants.
Very happy living in the Renaissance for two years now. Building very well maintained. Management team and maintenance crew have been very responsive, efficient and helpful when issues arise. Grateful to have dedicated and friendly staff looking after the tenants and the building.
If you enjoy flooding, broken elevators, rude service Rachel, lack of physical security, being watched on public cameras in your own building and classless advertising on a TV mounted by the elevator then this is the place for you! Also, the quality of the renovations are poor. Cheap paint, poor floors, cracks due to water leakage by the windows. Air conditioning was out for a month in June. As soon as that was mostly fixed the entire building was flooded and residents on the top 5 floors were forced to evacuate. Out of 3 elevators, 2 are usually working. There is also an issue with theft as there were multiple break-ins recently. I blame a large part of that on a lack of physical security. Finally, I find it super TACKY that they contracted an advertising company to install a flat panel television by the elevator for the sole purpose of running ads and making money. Classless. In terms of building management- Brian was great, Rachel should take courses in how to deal with the public.
We could not turn back the clock so we decided to move near a bigger one -- the clock at Covent Garden Market in London, Ontario. The plan: Sell the condo; move to a downtown apartment to ease access to goods and services. Easy Peasy, right? “Renaissance I” downtown loomed and the call was made. Yes, we were granted an interview! Really? We thought we could just move right in. The approval process was extensive but I guess we squeaked through somehow because soon we got the call confirming we could lease a unit on the 13th floor... yikes! Yes, we was skeered. Our moving date was set. The condo sold within a week. Thank you Oliver & Associates! We felt like we were moving into a grand hotel; our unit was spotlessly clean on inspection. We were even asked to inspect it before we moved in! The move went like... dare I say… clockwork; three elevators and one dedicated to our move was a definitely PLUS++++. Thank you RJ Movers! Yes, OK, we did polish the taps again. Housekeeping in the apartment is easy; old people appreciate easy. The foyer, reception area, halls, doors, elevators; are always being attended to. We are proud to invite friends in. If they don't see the foyer because they've come in through the parking garage, we take them to see it. It's gorgeous! The best part of the Renaissance is the Staff. All we've done since the move is send them Thank You notes. We won't go into details except to say every need has been met and in a friendly and professional manner at the same time!. We have found a NEW HOME. Thank you Renaissance I, London, Ontario, CANADA! August 25, 2022 - Our 1-Year Anniversary coming up soon and this post still remains accurate. Thank you Renaissance One for providing the amenities that promote a very comfortable lifestyle. December 9, 2022 - We've been here over a year now. The expression "Well Pleased" comes to mind. I'm able to enjoy the gym here now and walk to Kiwanis Seniors on Riverside Drive. Getting away from 40 years of stairs sure has made a difference. Christmas is coming soon, you know, Elves! The foyer looks so pretty with the trees all lit.
