Benvenuti!

Salvatore Dammone opened Salvo’s Restaurant in 1976. After celebrating over 38 years in business, Salvo’s still remains one of the most innovative Italian restaurants in the region serving contemporary Italian food in an informal relaxed atmosphere, a simple consistent formula which has kept thousands of fantastic customers coming back for more.

The second generation of the Dammone family are today continuing the traditions of Salvo’s and as always look forward to providing you with the welcome and service Salvo’s prides itself on.

Have been coming to salvos for many years and what has always impressed me is the consistency in the quality of the food and service. The menu is always varied and delicious, with a really good wine/cocktail/mocktail selection. I usually get the new risotto on the menu as they really knock this out of the park but everything I’ve ever had from salvos has been top tier. Great for a family night out or a date and the staff are always so lovely and friendly. Will continue to go for many years to come I’m sure! Parking: Street parking nearby or some parallel spaces outside, usually get filled up so occasionally park in headingley and walk over
Great service. Lasagne was supposed to take 20 mins but came in 5. The quality was very good. Large selection of wines too. Would recommend for date nights.Food: 4/5
Authentic, tasty and lots to order off menu. Parking nice and easy great thing is upstair ilnicely setup too. Highly recommend this place.
Came in last night for dinner, were greeted by Alex in the bar, he looked after us and showed us down to our table. We ordered mozzarella and burata starters, followed by the lasagne and fruiti di mare- both meals were excellent, with amazing service. Also, my gluten allergy was well looked after here, super accommodating staff and overall lovely.
Food was good, service was awful. Took one hour 45 to be served two pizzas and a kid’s dessert. We were the first ones in the restaurant at 5pm, one couple came in after us, were served 3 courses and still managed to leave 30 mins before us. Then the bill came and it was over charged by £16. I complained and was barely offered an apology. I’m loathe to complain or put up a bad review, but it was pretty disappointing.
Everything about this place is really nice. Definitely one of those Italian must visit hotspots. We tried a couple of pizzas, pastas and lasagne. The lasagne could’ve been cheesier but that’s a personal preference. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
The most wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious, the staff were so kind and the atmosphere was wonderful. Came to Leeds for my 50th birthday weekend and this visit absolutely made it, so thank you. We'll definitely be back when we're next in Leeds.Food: 5/5
We booked for a family birthday meal for my mum’s 83rd birthday and I can’t fault the atmosphere, table we were given, food or the service. We had a toddler with us as well as a newborn baby and we felt there was enough room for a pram so the baby could sleep whilst we ate. Because our youngest needed feeding, she and her parents were the last ones to join us a little late but we were never made to feel rushed by the staff. There was some drawing for our toddler and staff brought out the cake we had supplied them with, at an appropriate moment so we could sing happy birthday. Everyone loved their meals and any left overs were boxed up for us to take home. A lovely family restaurant that has stood the rest of time my parents ate here in the seventies and my husband and I in the eighties and noughties and it is as good now as it always has been. A reputation well deserved
A perfect dining experience in cozy atmosphere. Food was exceptional. Seafood in the Fritto Misto was fresh and cooked to perfection - no overdone calamari. For mains we had the venison and seabass both cooked very well. Service was impeccable. The owner took the time to speak many tables including ours, showing genuine care and interest in our experience. Strongly recommend and will definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: Has a separate gluten free menu and seemed to have good options
Had a lovely dinner date on a Saturday evening. Food was fantastic, I had a pizza and my gf had a pasta option. Great portion size and flavour. Would highly recommend coming here for any size party.Food: 5/5
