Salvatore Dammone opened Salvo’s Restaurant in 1976. After celebrating over 38 years in business, Salvo’s still remains one of the most innovative Italian restaurants in the region serving contemporary Italian food in an informal relaxed atmosphere, a simple consistent formula which has kept thousands of fantastic customers coming back for more.

The second generation of the Dammone family are today continuing the traditions of Salvo’s and as always look forward to providing you with the welcome and service Salvo’s prides itself on.

Very Disappointing Birthday Evening I now live in St Albans, but return to Bradford three times a year. Friends suggested that I try out Salvo's when I visit, I've been meaning to go for 2 years. I finally got there with 2 friends and their daughter to celebrate my birthday. I was disappointed to see on the booking acknowledgement that we only had the table for 2 hours. In the end the 4 of us couldn't wait to get out of the place. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The food was passable, but nothing special. Unfortunately, my ravioli arrived warm, not hot, and had to be sent back. I was given profuse apologies as I watched my friend eat. They then sat and watched me eat! Not great! However, the main problem of the evening was the table we were given, table 42! It is situated near the door to the toilets and upstairs dining, a very busy thoroughfare that evening, constantly being opened. My friends daughter (sat with her back to the door) has long hair, and every time it was opened and closed her hair got blown everywhere. At one point she felt obliged to get up and open the door for a waitress who was carrying 3 pizzas, and so couldn't open the door. None of us enjoyed the evening. To add insult to injury there were 2 nice tables for 4 which were vacant for the duration of our meal. When we had finished our meal a server suggested that we could go and sit at one of these tables and have a drink and relax. We went home to relax. They should get rid of table 42. I was given a discount by way of an apology, but all 4 of us agreed that we would have been happier if we had paid the amount of the bill not to have gone there. Not recommended!

Me and my partner had a great dining experience at Salvo's tonight. Will definitely be back soon for more delicous food! Lovely staff and top notch service. Exceeded my expectations. Big thumbs up.

Looked in for lunch and was greeted like old friend by proprietor (Gip) despite us not having been in for a bit. Good value lunch menu and kids catered for. Never had a bad meal at this place in 15 years.
