Saltwells Inn

It was lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Only thing wrong for me was that I had steak with chips. There were peas too but it lacked the rest like tomato onion rings /mushrooms. I understand that may add to the price but that's what I prefer. It just didn't look right. Steak was gorgeous and so were the chips. I'm not criticising the food, just would have been better if it had only half a tomato, 2 onion rings and a few mushrooms. However....I WILL be going again and recommend The Saltwells. Just my opinion

Went for a meal late lunch and it's been year's since we visited here but after seeing good reviews thought we would give it a try. The pub was very clean with a really nice decor. Plenty of free tables. When the food arrived it was very well presented and the portions were generous. My husband had the Carribbean Hunters chicken, quite spicy but absolutely delicious. I had the mixed grill, again good size, the gammon was thick ,juicy and tender. I had it with the jacket potato which was absolutely lush. Prices are very good, would definitely recommend.

Lovely pub. Went for father in law's birthday. Great food, friendly staff and nicely cosy feel to the place. Just feel bad I've been driving past it on the way back from work the past decade or so and haven't been up until now. Will be coming back definitely.

It's OK. Not my kind of pub. I understand that in this day an age you have to be a restaurant kind of pub. But being as I'm an old pub drinking kind of dude it just wasn't for me. I would've loved to see this pub back in its day. The bones of the pub look amazing. But I feel its been tarted up and it's took alot of originality away from it.

Hats off to the staff here. Gail and the gentleman behind the bar couldn't do more for you. Extremely welcoming and friendly. Food is yummy. Great little place

Visit for Sunday lunch with our family. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are very good and food very nice. We had the lamb, gammon, mixed grill plus childrens meals. Also has a good play area. Food & drinks: Good quality at very reasonable prices. Drinks also reasonable.

Warm atmosphere, great friendly service. Food was hot, fresh and very nice. No skimping on portion sizes either! Tentive staff. Fully recommend. Great play area too for the children. Nearby activities: Right next too Saltwells reserve.

Attended an afternoon do here. The buffet was excellent and the staff friendly. The tables were somewhat crammed in but being a buffet this was a small inconvenience. If you park a car you must log its registration number at one of the screens by the bar. Otherwise you risk a fine, according to the numerous warning notices. Also, you'll need some cash as, weirdly, they have a lower limit below which they won't process a contactless payment. It was an enjoyable afternoon, helped by the staff, location and decent nosh.

First visit here . We were not disappointed! Food and service were spot on . Great choice , staff were attentive and just a great experience. Thanks to all. We will be back!Service: 5/5
