This is the second time I've been here. The first time was a couple of years ago. They were installing a new biomass boiler so not all of the house was open. It was still lovely though with loads to look it. This time I visited with my friend and her dog. It was early in the season so the house was closed. There are several marked walks you can take; we chose the riverside walk. It's very popular with dog walkers and those with buggies and young families as the ground is flat with wide surfaced paths. We did choose to go off the marked walk and ventured along the estuary, which was worth doing. Overall you can spend a good few hours here exploring the parkland alone. I would thoroughly recommend a visit with or without a trip into the house. A great NT property.

The car park could not keep up with demand at the time we visited early on a Sunday. Some staff were posted explaining that they were waiting for the fields to recover after wet weather. The staff were clearly not happy about this. It would be great to see the hardier (unafected by weather) parking extended, to avoid this in the future. The grounds were far from at capacity and it was not peak season either, I hate to think how much business was being turned away.

Lovely place to visit all year round. Christmas is brilliant there! Lovely gardens and house. We'll worth a visit. Cafe has lovely cakes and a nice cuppa!

Great place for a Sunday stroll. I walk my dog here in a regular basis as do many other people. Also great for joggers and cyclists. The house is a national trust property and has a really nice cafe and a small park for children. Can be very busy but plenty of parking.

Great place to come and enjoy the grounds of Saltram house. The is a little hut near the entrance where you pay £3. It's manned during popular times. It used to be free but they have spent a lot of money to provide additional parking and on making extra paths. The is a small play park, and a café which can be accessed without having to pay to go in the house. The walks are enjoyable, good for dog walking,(some places they have to be on a lead), and cycling.
